Mission:
The mission of East High School’s Eats for East backpack meal program is to provide healthy meals and snack for students to be at their best.  The program will support, on a weekly basis, our unaccompanied youth, homeless students, and families in need. Good nutrition supports good academics. This program will help improve student academic performance by providing essential provisions to ensure students arrive Monday morning ready to learn and at their best.

Vision:
When students feel their best, they do their best. It is our vision that students are provided with healthy food, not limited to school days. Our schools are the centers of our communities, and this program supports students and families by providing meals and snacks over the weekend.   We not are only providing support to our students, but improving our community; one backpack at a time.
