Congratulations FBLA:  This past June four students from East High School represented the state of Wisconsin at the Future Business Leaders of America National Competition. Due to covid, these students completed their event presentation virtually. East High School FBLA did exceptionally well in competition with three students beating out more than 100 other competitors in their event to finish in the national top 5. Students from EHS who finished in the top 5 included: Sydney Bonlander who finished 3rd in the Word Processing Event, Aaron Fisk and Jackson Heller who finished 3rd in the Ebusiness competition. Each of these students also won a monetary prize for finishing in the top 5 for their event at nationals. No other Green Bay school had any top 5 finishers. Since 2007 EHS FBLA has had 50 national qualifiers and 15 top 10 national finishers. If you would like to join FBLA, see Mr. Christy in room 222 for more information.

As we begin our day, we acknowledge and honor the original inhabitants of our various nations of Wisconsin. As we currently reside on the traditional unceded territory of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin, and the Ho-Chunk Nation, we acknowledge these nations, people, and communities both past and present, as well as future generations. This acknowledgement demonstrates our sustained commitment to building authentic relationships and coalitions with all members of these Nations and communities.

Word of the Day: Suborn, verb, to persuade (someone) to do something illegal (such as to lie in a court of law), it can also mean to obtain (false testimony) from a witness by persuasion.

Have a great National Salami Day and an amazing learning day
