October 20 Day 1

Good Morning East high school, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

It Pays To Be On Time:  Today’s winner is junior Owen Reyes.  Owen was on time to all of his classes yesterday, so he can come on down to the attendance office to claim his $10 gift card.  Be on time today and you might get paid tomorrow!

Calling all Dancers!  East High and the Fine Arts Institute are  excited to announce that a new Dance program is beginning here!  All you have to do is see your school counselor and get signed up now!  Classes begin Trimester 2!  Don't wait-sign up today!  For more details, see Mrs. Roberts in the Fine Arts office or this flyer.

Attention SENIORS ~ your senior photos are due to Ms. Altman for the yearbook by March 4. This may sound light years away, but it is a mere FIVE months away. If you have your photos done, email your chosen photo today! Requirements: headshot preferred, no hats or inappropriate clothing, you MUST be wearing clothes, no weapons, and we must be able to see your face (no over the shoulder looks).

Attention juniors: If you are interested in ordering a junior shirt please check your email or pick up a form in the main office or room 235. Money and form must be in by October 22nd. We must get 24 pieces to make an order.

Anyone interested in wrestling for the Green Bay United Wrestling Team there will be a short informational meeting today  in the Upper Gym at 3:15 after school.  If you can’t make the meeting but are interested in wrestling please see Mr. Arbour or Ms. Mathu.

Reminder to all boys basketball players:  You need to pick up a grade sheet by Thursday and return it by Friday.  You can pick them up in Coach Rosinski's room 230.

Musical Students:  Program Bios and "Best Wishes" forms are due tomorrow, Wednesday, October 20th.  Check google classroom for more information. All students in the show should complete these forms!

Musical Tickets: East students, faculty, and staff - you're invited to attend the fall musical production of The Drowsy Chaperone. Performances run November 5, 6, 12, and 13 in the auditorium, and we are excited to have you back for in-person performances!  The Drowsy Chaperone is a hilarious show, with a jazz-style musical score; it's a comedy within a musical, set in the roaring 1920's.  Our student cast, pit orchestra, technical and back stage teams, costumes, make-up, and production crews are working to prepare a great show.  Get your tickets in the main office or through the showtix link in the announcements!  Musical Tix!

Attention girls interested in playing Powderpuff and guys that may want to coach. We will have sign up forms before school in the lobby where we sell dance tickets. If we get enough people to sign up we will select a day for the event.

As we begin our day, we acknowledge and honor the original inhabitants of our various nations of Wisconsin. As we currently reside on the traditional unceded territory of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin, and the Ho-Chunk Nation, we acknowledge these nations, people, and communities both past and present, as well as future generations. This acknowledgement demonstrates our sustained commitment to building authentic relationships and coalitions with all members of these Nations and communities.
