Day 2


Good Morning East high school, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


Attention any boys interested in joining the GBU co-op swim team hosted by Southwest:  The season begins on November 15th.  Please see Ms. Mathu in the main office for information.  


Parent Network Clothing Sale: The winter clothing online sale is now open for the next week, sale ends on 11/16/2021. Here is the link to order. Items are not guaranteed to be here before Christmas.


Math Team: Our next competition is Monday November 15th.  We will start at 5:30 in the LMC.  If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Quinn or Mr. Garay.


APOP: APOP is an anime and Kpop club!  If you enjoy content from anime and kpop and like having fun our first meeting is in room 318 on November 16th


Do you love history trivia?  Do you have a knack for remembering interesting, crazy, or even odd details about events in history?  If you do, you should sign up for the Social Studies Academic Team in room 225.  We practice once a week and have a competition in March.  See Ms. Kieffer if interested.


Musical:  The Drowsy Chaperone, weekend #2 of the performances start tomorrow; don't miss it!!  You'll get to meet a young couple on their wedding day, a desperate theatre director, a not-so-bright hostess, gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan, a distracted chaperone, wedding guests, and more. It's a jazz-style musical, with 1920's costumes, and a very funny plot.   Join our student cast, pit orchestra, tech team, and backstage crews in this hilarious adventure!! Audience members will be required to wear a mask/face covering at the performance. Library: The library is celebrating International Games Week. This week, you can answer the daily trivia question. For each correct answer, your name will be entered in a drawing for a game of Uno on Friday. 

Here's today's question: Name two countries where Scrabble is an official sport.

 

Students for Social Justice: Students for Social Justice meets in the library after school today. Please check the Google Classroom for today's agenda. There will be treats!


As we begin our day, we acknowledge and honor the original inhabitants of our various nations of Wisconsin. As we currently reside on the traditional unceded territory of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin, and the Ho-Chunk Nation, we acknowledge these nations, people, and communities both past and present, as well as future generations. This acknowledgement demonstrates our sustained commitment to building authentic relationships and coalitions with all members of these Nations and communities.
