Day 1

Good Morning East high school, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Student A:    Why did the orange go to the hospital?

Student B:     I haven’t a clue.

Student A:     Because it wasn’t peeling well.

Student B: But if you want a great tasting, great peeling fruit, order now from a music department student. Orders and money are due Tuesday, November 30th. Fruit pickup is a week later, Tuesday, December 14th.

Student A:   Great idea! And besides, all that Vitamin C from the fruit I buy will make sure that I’m ‘peeling’ my best.

Senior Turkeys and bidders please check your email for confirmation of your bids and what you owe. Remember to be in room 309 at 6:55 tomorrow morning

Squeak, squeak! The Green Bay East FFA has a fundraiser drive for the Wisconsin Humane Society, Green Bay Campus from now until the 19th! There are animal supply donation boxes and jars in the main office and room 153. If you have any questions ask Summer McCracken or your East FFA officer team.

Final exams are next week.  Need a place to study? Meet your friends to create a study group?  Even grab a snack?  Then come to room 309 this Thursday and Friday from 3 pm - 5pm.  Link Crew and NHS will be hosting a finals study-a-thon. Come study and prepare yourself for final exams.  We will provide the snacks.

Library: Do you check your email? Did you know that library email overdue notices are sent every Monday?  End the Trimester on a good note! Return overdue books and check out something new to read.

Students for Social Justice: Do you ever feel like it is easy to forget to be thankful, especially during stressful times? Take a break after school today and join Students for Social Justice in the library. We will be celebrating World Kindness Day by writing Thank You notes for people who have helped and inspired us. There will be treats!

As we begin our day, we acknowledge and honor the original inhabitants of our various nations of Wisconsin. As we currently reside on the traditional unceded territory of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin, and the Ho-Chunk Nation, we acknowledge these nations, people, and communities both past and present, as well as future generations. This acknowledgement demonstrates our sustained commitment to building authentic relationships and coalitions with all members of these Nations and communities.

Word of the Day: Amity, noun, friendship or friendly relations between nations

These have been your morning announcements

Have a magical National Mickey Mouse Birthday day and a great learning day.
