Day 1


Good Morning East high school, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


ASVAB Testing on December 7,2021 at 7:30 am in the Career Center. If you would like to take the test please see Ms. Kong in the Career Center!


Attention SENIORS ~ your senior photos are due to Ms. Altman for the yearbook by March 4. This may sound light years away, but it is a mere FIVE months away. If you have your photos done, email your chosen photo today! Requirements: headshot preferred, no hats or inappropriate clothing, you MUST be wearing clothes, no weapons, and we must be able to see your face (no over the shoulder looks).


Seniors: December 8th our cap and gown representative will be here during lunch hours. Cost of the cap and gown is $30.00. Attached is the flyer that also has other order options on it.

 

Fruit sale forms are due today! Turn in all money and orders. EHS music parents will be in the music wing until 3:30pm. Fruit delivery will be on Tuesday, December 14th.

 

Attention Students: Did you knock it out of the park on exams last week and want to treat yourself? Did you oversleep on Black Friday and miss all the deals? Do you still need to buy your boyfriend/girlfriend/sister/brother a Christmas gift? Whatever the case, the Devil's Den school store has your back. We have just received a big shipment of EHS apparel that is ready to get into your hands. Stop down to the school store before school to buy your gear. More items arriving next week too! Attention former, present and future chemistry students. The time has come to complete the Periodic Table of the Elements mural in the Science wing. Those who participate, can earn volunteer hours and have fun at the same time. No experience is necessary. A meeting will be held Thursday, December 2 at 3:10 in room 212 for all those interested. Please contact Mr. Arts if you are unable to make the meeting.

 

Did you know that poinsettias are perennials, meaning they grow year after year?  Why not give the gift that keeps on growing?  The Poinsettia Sale will take place in the East Greenhouse Friday, December third and tenth from 3-6 pm. and Saturday, December fourth and eleventh from 10 am. - 2 pm.  A large, two plant arrangement of red and white poinsettias are fourteen dollars each and a one plant poinsettias are seven dollars each.  Again: Poinsettias, this Friday after school & Saturday from 10 until 2, at the greenhouse!

 

Last night your boys basketball team traveled to GB Preble to take on the arch rival Hornets.  In a dominating performance the Red Devils built a 25 point lead and went on to beat the Hornets 84-66.  East was led by Ryan Sweeney's 34 points, Bill Felix had 20 points and 9 rebounds, Jalen Flowers had 10 points and 10 rebounds, Tyler Boeder and Oliver Kilian each scored 8 points.  The Red Devils will open at home next Tuesday vs Seymour.  Come out to the game.  Also retro jerseys are on sale now for $25 in room 230.  Red, white or black.  Come get your jersey for the game.

 

Beginning tomorrow tardy passes will be starting again.

 

Going Green in Green Bay: Let your voices be heard and join Clean Wisconsin over Zoom on Wednesday, December 8th from 5pm to 6:30pm to learn about how climate change is affecting Green Bay and to share your thoughts on the climate issues and solutions that are most important to you, as a young person. Melissa Schmitz, Green Bay's Resiliency Coordinator, will join us and use the insights you provide to develop local climate solutions.
