Day 1

Good Morning East high school, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Seniors: December 8th our cap and gown representative will be here during lunch hours by the cafeteria entrance. Cost of the cap and gown is $30.00. Attached is the flyer that also has other order options on it.

It Pays to be on Time:  Today’s winner is sophomore Owen DeVillers.  Owen was on time to all of his classes on Friday, so he can come on down to the attendance office and claim his $10 gift card.  Be on time today and you can win tomorrow!

Retro jerseys are on sale now for $25 in room 230.  Red, white or black.  Come get your jersey for the game.

After School tutoring in Room 108 will NOT be held today! It will be open tomorrow, Wednesday, & Thursday

Going Green in Green Bay: Let your voices be heard and join Clean Wisconsin over Zoom on Wednesday, December 8th from 5pm to 6:30pm to learn about how climate change is affecting Green Bay and to share your thoughts on the climate issues and solutions that are most important to you, as a young person. Melissa Schmitz, Green Bay's Resiliency Coordinator, will join us and use the insights you provide to develop local climate solutions. And, to thank you for your time, we will pay for your dinner with a $15 GrubHub/DoorDash gift card. Sign up at tinyurl.com/greenGB

See Mrs. Skaletski in room 211 if you have any questions.

HOSA: Reminder to all members of HOSA. We have a meeting tomorrow after school in room 133.  We will be putting together our community service project gift bags and will need to get any one interested in participating in the competitive events registered.

Attention Juniors: Are you tired of working at a part time job that you hate? The Senior Business Internship class is looking for a few ambitious people who want to get a head start on their career and distinguish themselves from the rest of the job-hunting crowd.  Are you the person we are searching for?  The ideal candidate is an outgoing individual who wants to earn high school and college credit, gain real-world work experience, and get PAID for working at a challenging job during their senior year.  Do you think you have what it takes?  Then see Mr. Christy in room 222 for more information.  Space is limited to the first 15 qualified applicants so if you’re interested you need to see Mr. Christy ASAP.

Library :Have you ever felt misjudged because of how you look or speak or act? Maybe you are judged by what someone sees, but they don't know the real you. Do you feel like you have a story to tell, one that might surprise your classmates or teachers? The story could be a cultural story, a glimpse into your religion or language. Or maybe it's a story about a favorite hobby or hidden talent. Stop in the library to write your name and story idea OR fill out a Google form that your Home Base teacher posted. See Ms. Ollmann for details.

Hey East, Do you want to help out your fellow students and win gift cards of up to $25? If so, the Eats for East pantry is in need of certain products. For each boxed cereal, box of granola bars, peanut butter, jelly, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce or cooking oils, you bring to your home base teacher they will enter you into the drawing. The more you bring in the more chances you get! See flyer in announcements.

Word of the Day: Fomite, noun, an object such as a dish, doorknob, or article of clothing that may be contaminated with bacteria or viruses and serve in their transmission.

These have been your morning announcements

Have a great St. Nicholas Day and a wonderful learning day
