Day 1

Good Morning East high school, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

East Students:  Beginning in January when we return from break, students with excessive absences or tardies will not be allowed to attend extracurricular events.  This means basketball games, dances, and musical performances.  All students will also be required to have their school ID to attend events.

Attention SENIORS ~ your senior photos are due to Ms. Altman for the yearbook by March 4. This may sound light years away, but it is a mere THREE months away. If you have your photos done, email your chosen photo today! Requirements: headshot preferred, no hats or inappropriate clothing, you MUST be wearing clothes, no weapons, and we must be able to see your face (no over the shoulder looks).

Book Club: Book Club Readers: You are invited to join a virtual discussion today during both lunch hours for The Inheritance Games. I posted the link on Google Classroom, and it's here too:  https://gbaps-org.zoom.us/j/88118974486?pwd=WWsyZW13TndLam9oVXFpRDlnZ1NVZz09 Please email Ms. Ollmann if you have questions.

Attention Juniors: Are you tired of making minimum wage dealing with crabby customers every day?  Are you wondering how you can develop the job skills that employers are looking for? Then you should check out Senior Business Internship! As a Senior Internship student, you will work in a challenging job during your senior year, GET PAID, and earn high school and college credit.  What a deal huh?  See Mr. Christy in room 222 for more information.  Space is limited to the first 15 qualified applicants so if you’re interested you need to see Mr. Christy ASAP.

Save the date: after school Thursday, January 6 for Apps with Apps night!  Come to work on applications, either for FFA, college, or other scholarships, all while eating appetizers!  Again: Thursday, January 6th, after school, room 153.

NYFO Green Bay: If you are interested in a 7 on 7 Non-Contact Youth football league please see the flyer attached.

As we begin our day, we acknowledge and honor the original inhabitants of our various nations of Wisconsin. As we currently reside on the traditional unceded territory of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin, and the Ho-Chunk Nation, we acknowledge these nations, people, and communities both past and present, as well as future generations. This acknowledgement demonstrates our sustained commitment to building authentic relationships and coalitions with all members of these Nations and communities.

Word of the day: Benign, adjective, not causing harm or injury. In medicine it refers to tumors that are not cancerous.

These have been your morning announcements

Have a great Forefather day and a wonderful great learning day
