Day 2

Good Morning East High School! It’s a great day to be a Red Devil, and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Just a Snoball week reminder: Be on the lookout for the Devil head/East logo and the double dollar signs around the building to win prizes. If you find one, bring it to room 235 to claim your prize! The double dollar signs are not as obvious as the devils!

The ASVAB test will be given February 17, 2022 to juniors and seniors.  The ASVAB Career Exploration Program helps students learn about themselves and the world of work.  Along with testing verbal and math skills, the ASVAB also tests electronics, auto and shop, mechanical comprehension abilities, and includes a career interest inventory.  It is a great way to prepare for the ACT exam or to discover your interests.  A military enlistment score is available, but only if you desire to use it.  An educator will sit down with the students to interpret their results.  There is no cost to participate.  Sign up in the Career Center by February 11, 2022

Musical Students - Workshop Alert: Center Stage is sponsoring a virtual dance workshop learning the choreography to one of the songs of Hairspray with a cast member from the company! The workshop will be held on February 16, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. via Zoom. We have 5 spots open to East High students at this time, with a possibility of additional spots later.  Check google classroom and sign-up with Mrs. Tjoflat.

Attention anyone interested in being a member of either the Boys or Girls Track and Field team this year, there will be a brief informational meeting in Room 221 after school on Thursday 2/3. If you are unable to attend please contact Coach Butler ([email protected]).

Attention Seniors: Graduation is right around the corner. If you have not ordered your cap and gown, you can order in the Main Office or order online using the link on the flyer. Orders are due by March 25th.

Spring Play: The Green Bay East spring play will be Almost, Maine -- a town that is SO far north, it's almost NOT in the United States. Taking place all in one night in the middle of the winter, Almost’s residents find themselves falling in and out of love in the strangest ways. Love is lost, found, and confounded. Auditions will be held Wednesday, Feb. 22nd. Actors will need to prepare a 1 minute monologue, fill out an audition form, and be prepared to read scenes from the play. For potential cast and crew, please ask Mr. Willems [email protected] or Mrs. Peters [email protected] to add you to Google Classroom where you will find necessary resources and forms.

Attention Seniors: If you are interested in designing the graduation program cover, please see the flyer attached for more information. The winner will receive a free cap and gown.

Students for Social Justice: Students for Social Justice meets today after school in the library. Everyone is welcome. See Ms. Ollmann if you have questions.

Word of the day: Bonafides, noun, the evidence of their qualifications or achievements
