Day 2


Good Morning East high school, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


Attention Seniors: Graduation is right around the corner if you have not ordered your cap and gown come to the office or order from the link on the flyer. Orders are due by March 25th.


Attention Seniors: If you are interested in designing the Graduation Program Cover please see the flyer attached for more information. Winner will receive a free cap and gown.


Spring Play: The Green Bay East spring play will be Almost, Maine. Auditions will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23rd, tomorrow. Actors will need to prepare a 1 minute monologue, fill out an audition form, and be prepared to read scenes from the play. For potential cast and crew, please ask Mr. Willems [email protected] or Mrs. Peters [email protected] to add you to Google Classroom where you will find necessary resources and forms. Those who plan to audition will need to sign up for a time slot in the form in Google Classroom. Please see Mr. Willems or Mrs. Peters if you have a conflict with the date and need an alternate time.

 

Final exams are next week.  Need a place to study? Meet your friends to create a study group?  Even grab a snack?  Then come to room 309 on Monday Feb 28th and Tuesday March 1st from 3 pm - 5pm.  Link Crew and NHS will be hosting a final exam study-a-thon. You come to study and we will provide the snacks.

 

Are you interested in attending college someday? NEW Scholars is here to help you! NEW Scholars is a college readiness program that meets after school and is for students who will be the first in their family to attend college. You can even earn a scholarship of up to $5,000 once you complete the program! NEW Scholars is currently recruiting 9th grade students to join! Look for the table with rubber ducks and snacks during lunch today for more information or talk to your guidance counselor.

 

It’s National FFA Week! In celebration, trivia questions on the FFA organization will be announced.  Answers to the trivia questions can be dropped off at the main office or library.  One daily winner will be selected to win either a free drink of their choice or two free cookies from our school store!!  Yesterday’s winner was Irving Guzman, for correctly answering, “National Blue and Corn Gold” as the National FFA colors. Claim your free drink coupon in the Agriscience room by the end of the day!  Here’s today’s question: When was the FFA Organization established? A. 2001, B. 2018, C. 1928, or D. 1814.  Again: trivia, office & library, prize beyond your wildest dreams!

 

Seniors: Check your email for a Google Form from Ms. Altman regarding your SENIOR QUOTE. You have until Friday at 3pm to submit a school appropriate quote. There will be no extensions. For real, no extensions.

 

Fine Arts Institute Theater Strand - Reminder that we have a Master Class today after school in room 237, starting at 3:15. Please watch Google Classroom for updates.

 

The forensics team performed at Mishicot High School last night. Please congratulate the following students who will be moving on to the district meet in March: Erick Brito Acevedo, Angelica Delfosse, Jennifer Duarte Castillo, Rubi Guzman-Gonzalez, Kayla Miller.

 

Attention Rhapsody cast, crew, and combo. There will be no rehearsal today. Please be ready Thursday to start working on a new song. Thursday rehearsal is 5:30-7pm.
