Day 2


Good Morning East high school, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


Attention anyone interested in playing volleyball in the fall...we will have a quick informational meeting about summer opportunities on Wed. May 25th at 7:00am in Room 225. I will have a summer calendar to provide.

 

East Cross Country: Do you like to run? Do you want to stay in shape for another sport? Are you looking for a group of people to run with and keep you motivated. Then the Cross Country team might be for you. There will be an informational meeting in the Cafe at 3:10 on May 25. Hope to see you there. If you have any Questions feel free to contact Coach Arbour [email protected] or stop down to the gym.

 

Newsies Audition Workshop: Interested in the onstage-cast on next years' musical?  All students are invited to attend a musical-workshop this Thursday, May 26th in the choir room and black box theatre rooms.  You will learn the audition choreo and practice vocals and singing for your audition.  The workshop is 3:30-5:30 pm. Sign up through google classroom or at this link  - Newsies "workshop event"

 

Musical Sign-Up: All students interested in the fall production of Newsies should complete the google form by Monday, May 30th.  QR code in posters or follow the link in virtual announcements. Newsies - Info Link/All Students

 

Senior Lock in: Seniors don’t forget to get your money in for the senior lock in. $10 before June 4th. $15 at the door on June 5th. Please make sure to turn your forms into the office ASAP.

 

Music department: Tomorrow at 7 p.m. is the East Orchestras' final concert of the year. There will be featured performances from the State Music Festival with senior Ella VanLoon on cello, and the cello trio of Ella, Ian Froelich, and Anna Lersch. Admission is free, and the music will be great! Come cheer on your Red Devil Orchestra classmates!

 

Attention East students: Do you need some spirit wear for this Friday's dress up day or just need a new T-shirt. If so, stop in room 235 during passing time to pick up a shirt. All T-shirts are $10 this week.

 

HOSA: Attention all HOSA members and those who might be interested in HOSA next year: we will be having a meeting this Thursday after school in room 133.  We will recap the Bellin Hands on Healthcare field trip and discuss plans and ideas for next year.  Please plan to attend if you can. 

 

Hello again from the Art Department!! If you are an art student that had artwork in a display case or in the art show  - Thank you so much for letting us display your artwork! The art show was a complete success and the display cases looked amazing - We couldn't have done it without you!!  Please stop into the art room 113 right after school (between 3-3:15) any day this week to pick up your artwork.  Set a reminder on your phone if you have to - it is so easy to just go home and then be like "Shoot, I forgot to pick up my Art!"  Any Art left behind after this Friday, May 27th will be considered art donated to the art department. Art not picked up may be used as future art examples or sold in an art auction fundraiser to support the Green Bay East Art Department. So ----- Please come pick up your art !!!  ART!!!!  Say it with me: ART!!!!

 

Rhapsody Auditions are next week! Students will need to prepare a pop or broadway song and Mr. Flogel will send a dance link after you have signed up. Auditions are June 2nd and 3rd. Attention Fine Arts Institute students:  If you haven't picked up your year-end certificate, please stop by Mrs. Robert's office and pick your certificate up. Seniors will also be given their Fine Arts cord for graduation.

 

Attention Pep Band: There will be NO performance at McAuliffe Park on Wednesday. Repeat no pep band Wednesday night at McAuliffe Park.

 

Attention all 9th graders:  Please check your emails right now for an email sent by Mrs. Baumann.  There is a Google Form that Link Crew would like you to respond to this morning.  Then, plan on stopping up to room 309 after school today for a little snack from your Link Crew Leaders!  Again, freshmen, complete the Google Form now and then stop up to room 309 after school today. 

 

Hey, anybody who has had ELA this year:  If you have any books that you borrowed and need to return to your ELA teacher, please don't forget to do so soon!  Check your backpacks, check your lockers, check under your beds, but please help those books find their way back home.

 

Reminder Seniors that Senior Ball guest forms must be completed in order to get tickets and they are due Monday, June 6th to the attendance office. Seniors can pick up guest forms in the attendance or main office. 

 

The Green Bay East Track and Field Team competed in the WIAA Division 1 Regional here at East last night. It was a fantastic night for the team, with lots of great performances! Advancing to the Sectional Meet this Thursday at West De Pere is: Hayden Josephs in the Triple Jump, Mauricio Perez in the Shot Put, Adriana Garcia in the 800 meter run, Noah Carlson in the 800 meter run, and the 4x400 meter relay team of Huw Griffiths, Keyan Skorzewski, Noah Carlson, and Hayden Josephs! Thank you to all that helped out and supported, please congratulate all of these athletes on their hard work! Make sure to come support on Thursday night!

Word of the Day: Dander, noun, a synonym of dandruff and is also used to refer to anger or temper, especially in the phrase “get someone’s dander up.”
