Day 2

Good Morning East high school, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

It's finals time again!  Once again Link Crew and NHS will sponsor a study-a-thon on Thursday June 2nd and Monday, June 6th from 3 pm to 5 pm in room 309. Snacks will be provided!

Newsies Auditions: There are more audition times for the fall musical - times today, Friday, and Monday.  Complete the form at this link: Newsies and email Mrs. Tjoflat wth questions. Auditions begin at 3:30 in the choir room/#117.  Students can warm-up and wait in the band room until their time.

Musical Sign-Up: Students interested in pit orchestra, technical crew, backstage jobs, costume team, make-up, and publicity be sure to complete the sign-up form by June 6th. Use the link or QR codes in posters.

Do you think you can fish?  Time to put your skills on display. The 30th annual Green Bay East Fishing Tournament will take place this Saturday from 8 - 11 am at the East River Bridge. We will be fishing for bragging rights and some awesome prizes. This is the WI free fishing weekend so you won't need a license. Don't worry if you have never fished before because we will show you how. Loaner equipment will be available for you to use.  Join us for a morning of fun. Contact Mr. Fisk in room 227 ([email protected]) if you plan to attend

Any students interested in doing Momentous Sports through the YMCA please see this flyer.

Band Students: It's that time of year when we get uniforms dry cleaned. Remember all the times we wore them? Homecoming parade, homecoming football game and halftime show, Green Bay Marching Showcase, Holiday Parade and concerts... It's only $8 a piece for the dry cleaning of your uniform, and you don't have to do anything except pay the fee. Not in band 3rd trimester? That's ok, you are included!  See Mrs. Iken in the band room!

Music students who signed up for the Dilly Awards, there is a little change in plans. Please get your lunch FIRST and come to the music rooms with your meal. We will give out awards while you eat and then enjoy the Dillys.

Library: This is a reminder that all library books and textbooks need to be returned before you leave for the summer. Graduating seniors also need to return Chromebooks and chargers prior to checking out. This message is also for graduating seniors: You will have access to your district Google accounts until late August (approximately 90 days after graduation). This includes access to Gmail and Google Drive resources. Check your school email for directions on how to save school files or stop in the library.

Tomorrow is the last day the library is open for study hall. During Final Exams, the library will be a quiet study space. You can also stop in to return any library books and textbooks during this time.

Word of the Day: Meld, verb, to blend or mix together

These have been your morning announcements
