Day 1

Good Morning East high school, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

NEW Scholars: this is a reminder that your after-school programming for the school year will begin next week. 9th grade will meet on Tuesday, September 13th; 10th grade will meet on Wednesday, September 14th; and 11th & 12th grades will meet on Thursday, September 15th. Please check your school email or NEW Scholars Google Classroom for more updates. If you are not in NEW Scholars but you are interested in a fun and supportive way to get to college: you are welcome to join NEW Scholars! Stop by Student Services for more information about how to apply. There are only a few spots remaining so be sure to sign up as soon as possible!

Calling all students who are interested in being a part of a positive and energetic team! The Dancing Devils are having clinics and auditions!! Whether you have been dancing for years or want to begin learning, all students are encouraged to try to attend clinic days and audition. This is a great opportunity to be a part of an engaging and high spirited dance team. For more information stop by the dance room or email Mr.Esrom with any questions. Please click here for the flyer.

Your Green Bay East FFA Chapter is hosting a Fall Picnic Thursday, September 15th, after school until 5 pm.  Come outside to the greenhouse for free food, good company, & to hear about first trimester FFA volunteer opportunities!  To reserve your free spot, just go to “B” “I” “T” period “L” “Y” forward slash “f” “f” “a” “picnic” & complete the quick Google Form.  This way, we plan for enough food.  Again: you, food, Thursday the 15th, reserve online “bit.ly/ffapicnic” as one word lowercase

Attention girls: The girls' tennis team has been out on the courts from 3 to 5 everyday, but we need more players!  If you have ever thought about playing tennis, we would love it, if you came out after school today or tomorrow and checked us out.  We have a racket for you.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: Junior and Senior shirt orders are due by this Friday. You should have received an email with the order form and we will have students in the main office lobby preselling junior and senior shirts. There will only be one order and we may not order any extra this year. So get down there and order your senior or junior shirt.

Attention 9th graders: Do you want to be part of the student decision making process at East? Do you want to be a part of helping with all school spirit events and activities? If so, you should think about joining student council. Please email Mr. VandenHouten at [email protected] if interested.

Reminder: Schedule changes are done as of today at 3 PM.  There are NO Lunch, teacher, or advisory changes.

We at East High School acknowledge that we are located on land and water that is the current and ancestral homeland of the Menominee Indian Nation, the Ho-Chunk Nation and home of the Oneida Nation. We honor and respect the many diverse Indigenous spiritual and physical caretakers of this land who have retained tribal sovereignty, treaty rights, and cultural resilience. We uphold our responsibility to repair relationships, initiate partnerships, and stand with members of these and all First Nations.

Word of the Day: Conciliate, verb, to make more friendly or less angry

Have a great National Salami Day and great learning day!!!
