Day 2

Good Morning East high school, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

JOIN FBLA: HEY! I can’t help but notice your resume and college application looks pretty weak in the extracurricular involvement area. I know, I know, you’re busy playing Fortnight with your friends every night and you're too “busy”. Employers and colleges want applicants who are involved at school.  They also want people with a proven record of SUCCESS.  Joining FBLA will give you the edge you need.  FBLA stands for Future Business Leaders of America.  It is the premier organization for business students with over a quarter of a million members nationwide. FBLA members compete in a variety of business events at the Regional, State, and National level. If you make it to Nationals this year you’ll be going to Atlanta, Georgia! Membership is free so there's no reason not to join. See Mr. Christy in room 222 and he’ll get you signed up.  Our first meeting is Thursday, October 6th at 7am in room 222. Success starts here. Join FBLA today!

Last night was the first homecoming kickball game. 4 teams signed up and in stunning fashion the staff team showed off their athletic prowess by winning all 3 games and contrary to what the students said they did not cheat!. But they cannot score in the spirit competition and that came down to the seniors showing their dominance and beating the sophomores to take the crown as kickball champs and the points for their class. And we cannot forget the cross country that showed up and gave us 4 teams to have a balanced night.  Thanks to all players that made it a fun and enjoyable night for staff and students! Come out tonight and support your soccer team and score points for your class!

Attention students. Please check your email for a link to the Homecoming ballot. Voting closes at 3:00PM
