Day 2


Good Morning East high school, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


JOIN FBLA: Are you waiting for a personal invitation to join FBLA?  Well, this is it. See Mr. Christy in room 222 to join Future Business Leaders of America.  You'll have a chance to compete against other business students from across the state, you'll learn leadership skills, and you'll help your school and community. Everyone is welcome to join.  Our first meeting is Thursday, October 6th at 7am in room 222. 

 

So you've heard something about East having a Fine Arts Institute and you're wondering what that's all about!  Come to the Informational Meeting and find out all about the Fine Arts Institute on Tuesday, October 4th at 6pm in the art room!  It's free and very informational as information meetings go!  Can't wait to see you there!  See Mrs. Roberts in the Fine Arts office for more details

 

Newspaper: Newspaper meets every Wednesday at 7:00am in room 306. We have donuts! Join us! 

 

Attention Seniors: The Senior class photo will be taken Friday during homebase.  Seniors should check into homebase with teachers for attendance then depending on weather we will head outside to the football field or inside to the gym.

 

The next meeting of your Green Bay East FFA is Tuesday, October 4 @ 3:15 in the Agriscience Room one fifty three. Big agenda energy to our upcoming Blood Drive. Mr. Markhardt will be mixing Pumpkin Spice Lattes & hot chocolate! Come one, come all! Again: FFA meeting, October 4, pumpkin spice lattes.

 

Latino Club wants to invite any students who may be interested in learning or educating others about Latino culture. Come join us for various activities that can help you form a connection to the Latino community and culture. Our first meeting will be TODAY  in room 234 after school. If you have any questions please see Mrs.McGrath in room 234. We hope to see you there! 

Latino Club quiere invitar a cualquier estudiante que pueda estar interesado en aprender o educar a otros sobre la cultura latina. Únate a nosotros en varias actividades que pueden ayudarte a formar una conexión con la comunidad y la cultura latina. Attention all students and staff: Cookies and popcorn will be for sale once again this year after school. We sell in the school store at 3:00 Monday through Thursday. Cookies and popcorn are $0.50 each. Come see us today!

 

College Visits: TODAY UWO in the Cafe.

 

Musical: All students involved in the fall musical production of Newsies: Your  T-shirt orders and cast program biographies are due next week.  Copies available in the choir room or in google classroom.  Program photos are scheduled for Monday after school - wear a black shirt!

 

Newsies Tickets: Tickets for the fall musical production of Newsies go on sale, October 1st. Tix available in the main office and online at showtix4u - check the link in announcements or QR codes on the posters!! Newsies Tix  

 

Attention juniors and seniors: If you did not order a junior or senior shirt we have a few extras that were ordered. ONLY T-SHIRTS. They are $16 each and it is first come first served in the main office. Also if you order a junior or senior shirt it can be picked up in the main office.

 

Book Club: Book Club met yesterday. If you attended yesterday's meeting, please check your email for a Google Classroom invite. Students, stop in the library today to get a copy of A Heart in a Body in the World. See Ms. Ollmann if you have questions.

 

Students for Social Justice: Students for Social Justice is meeting today after school. Please check your email. New members are welcome. 

 

Sporting Events Today: Varsity Tennis is taking on Kewaunee at 4:00pm!  Girls JV Volleyball will take on Menasha at 5:30 and Varsity plays at 7:00. Students must have an ID to enter. Cost of admission to the Volleyball game is $3.00 for students and $5.00 for adults.

 

Word of the Day: Ritzy, Adjective, to describe things that are fancy or stylish in ways that one might consider impressive or showy.
