Day 1


Good Morning East high school, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


Ladies, if you are interested in playing basketball we will be having open gym  Sundays starting October 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th @ 6:30pm-8pm. Come get some shots up and have open runs. 

 

Senior Class Photo Retake: Seniors the Class photo will be retaken TOMORROW Tuesday, October 4 during Homebase.  Wear EAST gear tomorrow.

 

The next meeting of your Green Bay East FFA is Tuesday, October 4 @ 3:15 in the Agriscience Room one fifty three. Big agenda energy to our upcoming Blood Drive. Mr. Markhardt will be mixing Pumpkin Spice Lattes & hot chocolate! Come one, come all! Again: FFA meeting, October 4, pumpkin spice lattes.

 

Newspaper: Newspaper meets every Wednesday at 7:00am in room 306. We have donuts! Join us! 

 

JOIN FBLA: Are you waiting for a personal invitation to join FBLA?  Well, this is it. Don't wait a minute longer!  See Mr. Christy in room 222 to join one of the largest, most well-known, student organizations in the world - Future Business Leaders of America.  You'll have a chance to compete against other business students from across the state, you'll learn leadership skills, and you'll help your school and community. It doesn't matter what grade you are in.  Everyone is welcome to join.  Our first meeting is Thursday, October 6th at 7am in room 222. Get involved in your school.  Sign up for FBLA.


All NEW Scholars will meet for Large Group Programming today after school from 3 to 5:30p.m. All grades will meet Mrs. Carmen in the cafeteria at 3pm after school.  Please keep an eye on your messages in Google Classroom for any last minute updates.


Picture Retake Day:  Wednesday October 5th from 9:00-12:00 the photographer will be here to do retakes and take any photos of students who have not had their picture taken by Ambrosius. In order to get a retake you must have paid for it beforehand. Please report to the auditorium after 9:00.


Congratulations to the following AVID students: Andrea Casiano Cruz, Careli Navarro Castaneda, Erick Brito Acevedo, and Pachia Yang  These 4 individuals have gone above and beyond during the months of September and have been selected as the AVID student of the month for September. They have all been excellent role models in the AVID elective class and have also worked incredibly hard outside the classroom. If you see them in class, please congratulate them.


Didn't get a chance to go to the homecoming football game last week and see the band's halftime show? You can still see it, along with the homecoming shows from West, Southwest, and Preble at the Marching Band Showcase. Saturday, Oct. 8, 1pm, Southwest football field. Admission is FREE. Flyer HERE


Musical: Newsies cast, pit, and tech students will have program photos today after school. Report to the choir room at 3:15. Wear a black shirt! T-shirt orders and cast program biographies are due this week - check google classroom for more information.

 

Newsies Tickets: Tickets for the fall musical production of Newsies, the Broadway Musical are on sale now!  Purchase tickets in the main office and online at this link - Newsies Tix. We also have QR codes on the Newsies poster for easy access to the ticketing link.  


What’s blood’s favorite artist? … Vincent 'Vein' Gogh! *forced laugh* The East FFA is hosting their annual Fall Blood Drive on Thursday, October 13th, from 8 until 3. If you are age 17 or 16 with parent’s consent, sign up for a time by going to: www.bit.ly/eastblood and type the sponsor code “OT134”  If you have any questions, please contact your blood drive coordinator, Jaedyn LaBrec!  Again: Donate blood, October 13th, save all the lives!  Thank you!
