We have had great swimmers from East High School, and are looking for a few more.  The only requirement is that you can swim 100 yards and love to swim.  Competitive swimming experience is not necessary for joining the team.  The season starts on November 14th, and runs through mid-February.

Library: "Day of the Dead (Dia De Los Muertos) is a two day holiday that reunites the living and dead. Families create ofrendas (offerings) to honor their departed family members that have passed. These altars are decorated with bright yellow marigold flowers, photos of the departed, and the favorite foods and drinks of the one being honored." Skulls, calaveras, are also seen during Day of the Dead, which starts today and ends on November 2nd. Skulls take many forms such as sugar candies, clay decorations, and face painting. In the library, Students for Social Justice is sponsoring a skull coloring page contest. The library has the supplies. Bring your coloring skills to the library for a chance to win a Starbucks Gift Card. The contest ends on Thursday.
