Day 2


Good Morning East high school, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


Want to know more about the Junior Prom dance planning? Interested in participating in the planning committee options? Want to partake in the theme discussion and nomination? Come to Room 242 later this month on Wednesday, December 14th at 3:05pm for a detailed meeting with Mrs. DeJardin. The meeting will last until 3:45pm.


Did you know that the colored parts of poinsettias that most people think of as the flowers are actually colored bracts? That being said, this announcement of the Poinsettia Sale is ‘bract’ again!  It will take place in the East Greenhouse Friday, December 2nd and 9th from 3-6 pm. and Saturday, December 3rd and 10th from 10 am. - 2 pm.  A large, two plant arrangement of red and white poinsettias are $16 each and a one plant poinsettias are $8 each.  Again: Poinsettias, this Friday after school & Saturday from 10 until 2, at the greenhouse!


HOSA: Attention all HOSA members who want to participate in the upcoming competitive events…Mrs Enderby and Mrs Christopherson will be available after school this Thursday and next Tuesday to help you sign up and order materials.  Please stop by 133 either of those days.  Also please check google classroom for additional information. 


MSA (Muslim Student Association club) is having two guest speakers from UWGB today after school in Room 309.  Please come and hear what they have to share about the MSA club at the university.


Center Stage/PAC Workshop:  A Costuming Workshop will be offered by members of the touring company of Aladdin - details and sign up link is in the Newsies Google Classroom.  See Mrs. Tjoflat with questions.


Sporting Events: Boys Basketball vs Preble, JV @ 5:45, Varsity @  7:00. Cost to get in is $5.00 for Adults, $3.00 for Students. The pep band will be performing between JV and Varsity. Pep band students please enter door 8 at 6pm for warm up.


Word of the Day: Sandbag, verb, means to hit or stun as if with a sandbag, to criticize or treat unfairly or to hide one’s true abilities or purpose in order to deceive people, gain an advantage.
