Day 2

Good Morning East high school, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Hey Red Devils! Do you want to help out your fellow classmates and have a chance to win gift card prizes? The week of December 12-16th the student council will be having a priority food drive. Our Eats for East Pantry is in need of certain items. If you bring in one of these items in the flyer you will be given a raffle ticket for each one. We will be collecting these in the main office lobby before school. We have gift cards to Target, Subway, Scooters, Starbucks, and McDonalds. Prizes are between $5-$20. Please think about helping your classmates.

Attention Juniors: Last call for juniors who are interested in signing up for Senior Internship next year! As a Senior Internship student, you will work in a challenging job in your chosen career area during your senior year, GET PAID, and earn high school and college credit.  What a deal huh?  See Mr. Christy in room 222 or 226 for more information.  There are very few slots left so if you’re interested you need to see Mr. Christy ASAP.

Looking for a fun way to share the holiday spirit? Purchase a Candy Cane Gram from the Dancing Devils! Beginning tomorrow Dec.13th, the Dancing Devils will be selling Candy Cane Grams during both lunches, the final day to purchase one will be Dec. 21st. Each gram is $3 dollars and will contain 3 candy canes, a can of Christmas coca cola, and a small holiday message! See Mr.Esrom for more details.

Congratulations to the following AVID students: Maribel Leon Martinez, Keegan Smith, Joshua Villanueva Torres, Jacqueline Sanchez, Jamaya Mariner, Shanze Zhang,  Paola Ortega, Makayla Stiles. These 8 individuals have gone above and beyond during the months of November and December and have been selected as the AVID student of the month for  November and December.  They have all been excellent role models in the AVID elective class and have also worked incredibly hard outside the classroom. If you see them in class, please congratulate them.

Word of the Day: Putative, adjective, generally believed, supposed, or assumed to be something. It is always used before a noun.
