Day 1

Good Morning East High School, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

GSA will be meeting after school in the LMC.  All students are welcome to attend.  If you have any questions about the club, please see Ms. Wetzel or Ms. Frank.

Attention Juniors: TODAY after school is the PROM planning meeting to discuss dance themes. The meeting will be held in Room 242 starting at 3:05pm.

Apps with Apps: Got that scholarship you have been meaning to get done? Come join the Green Bay East FFA on Thursday, January fifth in room one fifty-three for the Apps with Apps night! Fill out all of your needed applications while having fun and eating appetizers! Again, January fifth, after school, room 153.

Hey East students: Did you miss out on the spirit apparel sale last time and want to get something or want to add to your collection? If so, stop in the main office or print off the order form and follow the instructions to order new apparel. An email was sent to your school email as well. Orders are due by January 10th.

Book Club: Book Club meets in two weeks to discuss I Must Betray You. Stop in the library if you need a copy of the book.

Students for Social Justice: We meet this Friday. Please check your email for a reminder of our meeting with a guest speaker.

Library: There is limited space in the library 2nd Hour. Please arrive early and have work to do.

We at East High School acknowledge that we are located on land and water that is the current and ancestral homeland of the Menominee Indian Nation, the Ho-Chunk Nation and home of the Oneida Nation. We honor and respect the many diverse Indigenous spiritual and physical caretakers of this land who have retained tribal sovereignty, treaty rights, and cultural resilience. We uphold our responsibility to repair relationships, initiate partnerships, and stand with members of these and all First Nations.

Word of the Day: Genius, noun, a person who is exceptionally smart or talented. It also refers to great natural ability, or to a part of something that makes it unusually good or valuable.

These have been your morning announcements.

Have a great National Trivia Day and a great learning day!
