Day 1

Good Morning East High School, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

GSA will be meeting after school in the LMC.  All students are welcome to attend.  If you have any questions about the club, please see Ms. Wetzel or Ms. Frank.

Yearbook updates: Please get your senior pictures into Ms. Blackford by March 3rd.

Also, still haven’t ordered a yearbook?  You can still purchase a yearbook at yearbookforever.com or in the main office.

Yearbook Members!  Meeting this Thursday in room 108 this week.  Please go to Ms Blackford’s room Thursday morning for our meeting.

ASVAB Testing: What is ASVAB testing you ask? It is an Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery is a multiple-aptitude battery (test) that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. You can now sign up in the Career Center with Ms. Kong to take the ASVAB.  This does not commit you to anything, but it can help you figure out your career interests and plans for after graduation.  The test helps explore career interests in general.  The Test will be February 8, 2023 7:30-11 AM. Last day to sign up is February 6, 2023. If you have any questions see Ms. Kong!

Attention Juniors: If you have not taken the 1 question survey in your email please check it now regarding Post Prom

YWCA - Will be in the cafe today for a visit during lunch hours

Hey freshmen!  Link Crew is hosting a board game night next week Tuesday, January 31st right after school.  If you want to attend, please complete the Google Form that was emailed to you earlier this week.  That way, we can plan ahead with board games and snacks.  Again, this is an invite to all freshmen to join Link Crew for board games after school next week Tuesday.

We at East High School acknowledge that we are located on land and water that is the current and ancestral homeland of the Menominee Indian Nation, the Ho-Chunk Nation and home of the Oneida Nation. We honor and respect the many diverse Indigenous spiritual and physical caretakers of this land who have retained tribal sovereignty, treaty rights, and cultural resilience. We uphold our responsibility to repair relationships, initiate partnerships, and stand with members of these and all First Nations.

Word of the Day: Marginalia🔊, noun, is a plural noun that refers to notes or other marks written in the margins of a text, and to nonessential matters or items.
