Day 2


Good Morning East High School, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


Attention all students interested in attending Snowball on Saturday, February 11th: In order to attend you must have at least 50% attendance AND no major/administrator managed referrals from the start of trimester 2 until the dance on the 11th. If you have any questions you can see Mrs. Bleier or Mrs. Lipp.


ASVAB Testing: What is ASVAB testing you ask? It is an Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery is a multiple-aptitude battery (test) that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. You can now sign up in the Career Center with Ms. Kong to take the ASVAB.  This does not commit you to anything, but it can help you figure out your career interests and plans for after graduation.  The test helps explore career interests in general.  The Test will be February 8, 2023 7:30-11 AM. Last day to sign up is February 6, 2023. If you have any questions see Ms. Kong!


Attention girls interested in playing soccer this spring:  There will be an informational meeting with our new coach on Wednesday 2/1 @ 3:30 in the career center - room 140.  If you are not able to attend, please stop in the main office or let another player know that you plan to play.  See ya there! 

 

Attention Students interested in Health Related Careers: On Friday, February 10th, we have an opportunity to go to Bellin College and experience a day of hands-on learning. We will spend the day rotating through 7, 30 minute stations in the areas of: Radiology, Physical Therapy, Sonography, Virtual anatomy exploration, Operating Room/sterile technique, Trauma/Emergency Room simulation, Nursing care in a simulated environment. Lunch will be provided during a Q & A session with Bellin College Staff and students. This will be an all day event. If you would like to go please come get permission forms TODAY from Mrs. Enderby in room 133! 

 

Sporting Event: Boys Basketball vs Plymouth, JV @ 5:45, Varsity @ 7:00. Cost to get in is $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for students.

 

Students for Social Justice: Students for Social Justice will not meet this week. Please check your email for updates.
