Day 1

Good Morning East High School, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Yearbook updates: Please get your senior pictures into Ms. Blackford by March 3rd.  Additionally, seniors if your parents would like to include a senior tribute in the yearbook have them go to yearbookforever.com to upload photos and text to include.  These could include good luck for college/workforce and/or baby pictures and are a special remembrance of your time in school.

Also,if you still haven’t ordered a yearbook?  You can still purchase a yearbook at yearbookforever.com or in the main office.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a police officer? Interested in a possible career in law enforcement?  The Green Bay Police Department is now accepting applications for their Police Cadet Program. Candidates must be ages 14-21 and they meet 1-2 times per month in the evening. Cadets will get training on how to handle police calls such as disturbances, traffic stops, burglaries, traffic crashes and Crime Scene Investigation. Stop down in the main office to get an application or see Officer Younk or Officer Marquardt for more information.

Book Club: Book Club meets this Wednesday during lunch hours. Please bring your copy of Punching the Air to the discussion.

After school this Wednesday, you are invited to a movie event. In honor of Black History Month, you can stay after school and watch Descendant, a movie about the last slave ship and its descendants. There will be popcorn!

Attention Freshmen:  Today is the day for Valentine cookie decorating!  Whether you want to decorate them for yourself or someone special, please join Link Crew right after school today in room 301.  And while you're here, grab some supplies and make a special card for that special person, too! Again, this is open to all freshmen after school today.  If you have any questions, see Baumann in room 301.
