Day 2

Good Morning East High School, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Yearbook updates: Please get your senior pictures into Ms. Blackford by March 3rd.  Additionally, seniors if your parents would like to include a senior tribute in the yearbook have them go to yearbookforever.com to upload photos and text to include.  These could include good luck for college/workforce and/or baby pictures and are a special remembrance of your time in school.

Also, if you still haven’t ordered a yearbook?  You can still purchase a yearbook at yearbookforever.com or in the main office.

Attention Seniors: Please fill out the one question survey that is in your email regarding Senior Lock-in.

Forensics: Please check your email and google classroom. Our 1st meet is in 7 days. Please schedule a meeting with your coach.

Attention Girls interested in playing softball: There will be a mandatory parent/athlete meeting at West HS in the Thune Center on 2/15 at 5pm.  See ya there!

If there are any boys or girls interested in playing rugby this spring, please stop in the main office for an informational brochure.

Congratulations to Aarion Moore for moving on to regionals for wrestling this weekend!  Good luck Aarion.

Book Club: Book Club meets tomorrow. Please bring your copy of Punching the Air.

Library: Show your love in the library! Support the Welcoming Refugees Postcard Project. Top effort and best artwork earns you a chance to win gift cards. Winners will be chosen on February 28. In February, your time and talent donates $10 to organizations to help refugees in our community. Stop in the library with any questions.

After school tomorrow, you are invited to a movie event in the LMC. In honor of Black History Month, you can stay after school and watch Descendant, a movie about the last slave ship and its descendants. There will be popcorn!

Attention freshmen:  Link Crew wants to say thank you to the freshmen who joined yesterday for cookie decorating!  As of right now, we have some cookies and supplies left over, so if any 9th graders would like to stop by room 301 after school today to decorate a Valentine cookie or make a Valentine card, please do so!  Again, we have a limited supply, so get here while you can!

Word of the Day: Coquetry, noun, a flirtatious act or attitude

These have been your morning announcements

Have an amazing Valentine’s Day and great learning day!
