Day 2

Good Morning East High School, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Yearbook updates: Please get your senior pictures into Ms. Blackford by March 3rd.  Additionally, seniors if your parents would like to include a senior tribute in the yearbook have them go to yearbookforever.com to upload photos and text to include.  These could include good luck for college/workforce and/or baby pictures and are a special remembrance of your time in school.

Also, if you still haven’t ordered a yearbook?  You can still purchase a yearbook at yearbookforever.com or in the main office.

Attention Seniors: Please fill out the one question survey that is in your email regarding Senior Lock-in.

If there are any boys or girls interested in playing rugby this spring, please stop in the main office for an informational brochure.

Latino Club: Our next meeting will be after school TODAY in room 234. We will meet until 3:40. All students are welcome!

Club Latino: Nuestra próxima reunión se llevará a cabo HOY, en el salón 234. Nos reuniremos después de la última clase hasta las 3:40. ¡Todos los estudiantes están invitados!

Library: East High has a great start for the Welcoming Refugees Postcard Project! Let's make our school goal: 50 postcards by Monday. That's 10 more postcards to create that will help fund organizations that aid refugees in our community. You can also have a chance to win a gift card. Stop in the library for supplies and examples.

The second annual African American Author Readathon is next Wednesday. We are looking for more readers to celebrate Black authors and their voices. Be part of this amazing library event on Wednesday, February 22.

Butter Braid Sale:  Music, dance, and drama students - a reminder that Butter Braid orders are due next week, Tuesday, Feb 21st. Bring your order form and payments to the parent volunteers who will be in the music hallway.

Solo & Ensemble:  Solo & Ensemble Festival is this Saturday, February 18th at Preble. All vocal and piano entries will be performed throughout the day - "Break a leg" to all East High students who will be performing in the festival!!

Congrats and thank you to the 5th period choir class! On Valentine's Day they performed at the McCormick Assisted Living and Nursing Home in Green Bay. The residents had a wonderful time and enjoyed a fabulous performance. Thank you for reaching out to our community, Red Devils!

Word of the Day: Lyrical, adjective, has an artistically beautiful or expressive quality, often one that is reminiscent of song.

These have been your morning announcements.

Have a great National Do A Grouch a Favor Day and a great learning day!
