Day 1

Good Morning East High School, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

GSA will be meeting in Room 113 to work on our projects for the upcoming 2nd Annual GSA Art Gala Night.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  You are welcome to bring your own supplies if you'd like, however a variety of art supplies will be provided by GSA.

Yearbook! Meeting AFTER school this Thursday

Seniors: Check your email for a google form about senior quotes for the yearbook.  All instructions are on the google form and MUST be submitted via form.  Deadline is April 14th.

Congratulations HOSA for having 3 students qualify for the state competition in Wisconsin Dells.  All 3 students placed in the top 5! Alexia Lindsley competed in medical spelling and placed 5th, David Ayala competed in the Healthy Lifestyle division and placed 3rd, Careli Navarro Castaneda competed in Home Health Aide and placed 1st!! David and Careli now qualify to compete at the International Conference. East was the only school there that had every single student who competed place in the top 5 and called up to the stage to be recognized. If you see these students, please be sure to congratulate them.

We at East High School acknowledge that we are located on land and water that is the current and ancestral homeland of the Menominee Indian Nation, the Ho-Chunk Nation and home of the Oneida Nation. We honor and respect the many diverse Indigenous spiritual and physical caretakers of this land who have retained tribal sovereignty, treaty rights, and cultural resilience. We uphold our responsibility to repair relationships, initiate partnerships, and stand with members of these and all First Nations.

Word of the Day: Gerrymander, verb, to divide a state, school district, etc. into political units or election districts that give one group or political party an unfair advantage.

These have been your morning announcements.

Have a great National Walking Day and an amazing learning day!!
