Day 2

Good Morning East High School, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Do you have old, broken, or dead electronics at home?  Consider the environment, skip throwing it in the landfill, & bring them to East!  Your Green Bay East FFA has an Electronics Recycling Box inside the main office from now until April 21st.  Consider this for next Spring, too - we hope to make this an annual, every year thing.  If your electronic is on the poster list, we’ll recycle it for free!  Questions can be directed to Mr. Mark-cart in room 153.

Attention 10th and 11th Graders: Link Crew is looking for future leaders who want to give back to East, build leadership skills, and earn service hours by working with incoming freshmen.  If any 10th or 11th graders are interested in becoming Leaders for next school year, click the link in the virtual announcements, see the signs posted around school, or see Mrs. Baumann in Room 301 by Friday, April 21st.

Seniors: This is the last week for your family to buy and submit a Senior Tribute for the yearbook at yearbookforever.com.  The cut off date is this Friday the 21st.

Have you taken an Agriscience class this year, between March 2022 through March 2023? Then your Green Bay East FFA chapter has a cash award application for you!  By submitting your Supervised Agricultural Experience (or SAE) Portfolio done in Agriscience class, you can apply for awards through the FFA.  Top placing applications have the potential for a cash award, thanks to generous community support from the FFA Alumni.  Just go to https://bit.ly/eastsae & complete the quick Google Form application.  You have until Tuesday, April 25, to apply!  Feel free to email Mr. Mark-cart ([email protected]) if you have any questions!

Students: Have you purchased your yearbook yet?  The cut off date for purchase is May 1st .  Please purchase in the main office or at the website yearbookforever.com for $55.

Seniors: Please check your emails for the senior superlatives form.  Directions are included in the google form and responses are due next Wednesday, April 26th by 3pm.

Congratulations FBLA: Six members of the Green Bay East Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America recently attended the Wisconsin FBLA State Leadership Conference at the KI center here in Green Bay. They competed in a variety of events for a chance to represent Wisconsin this summer in Atlanta at FBLA nationals. The following students from East placed in the top 4 for their event and qualified for nationals: Anthony Muskovitz-Karl – 3rd place in Mobile App Development, Isaac Munchoff and Tallon Baird– 2nd place in Network Design. Placing in the top 8 for their event and earning honorable mention are: Brisset Torres Alvarado - event finalist and placed 6th in Banking and Financial Management, Giovanny Rodriguez - 5th place in Computer Problem Solving and national team alternate, ChaNtuj "Sunny" Lee - 8th place in Computer Problem Solving. Since 2007 East High School has had 58 FBLA National Qualifiers and 17 top 10 National finishers. Congratulations East FBLA!

Your performance could be musical--singing or instrumental--or spoken word--poetry or short story. We also have a karaoke machine! Live in the Library is taking place all day on Friday, April 28. Stop in the library to sign up or ask questions.
