Day 2

Good Morning East High School, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Nothing fishy here!  Your Green Bay East FFA invites both students & staff to come to help filet this year’s fish.  We start slicing on Wednesday, May 10, @ 3 pm.  Depending on the quality & quantities of the cuts, we hope to package these up, freeze, & donate a portion of the meat to a local food shelf, though we’ll have some for snack after all is cleaned up!  Reserve your spot with this link: http://bit.ly/eastfillet  Student permission form is linked on RSVP page or printed copies are in Mr. “Mark-cart”s room, 153.  Again: fish fileting, May 10 after school, must reserve through link!

Attention students: Do you want to take an active role in what happens in school? Do you want to help plan school spirit events? If that is the case you should be a part of the student council. Stop in the main office and pick up a form, fill it out and return it to the main office by Tuesday May 2nd.

Seniors: Please check your email for a Senior Lock-In Interest Form Survey.

Green Bay East Fine Arts Presents Puffs or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic.  For seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This is not his story. In Puffs, we learn about the background characters who just happen to be at this school, too. This is a story for all of you who feel the world just isn’t fair. Come to our beautiful auditorium and enjoy Puffs on April 28 and 29. Performances begin at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for adults.

Attention Boys interested in playing East Boys Soccer in the fall, please attend the soccer meeting on May 2nd at 3:30 in the gym.  We will give out upcoming information and expectations for this summer and the fall season.  If you are interested and can’t make the meeting….please email Chad Longley at [email protected].

Library: It's National Library Week! Be part of the events in the East High Library! Today, you can have fun making a postcard and poem and enter to win a giftcard. Any student who makes a postcard today will be entered in drawings for Starbucks and Barnes and Noble gift cards. You can even type your postcard message or poem using our typewriter. Postcard making, old-school style! We are 40 postcards away from our 100 postcard goal for the Welcoming Refugees Project! Shine your light in this world and make a difference!

"Live in the Library" is back! As a culminating event during National Library Week, you are invited to share your voice in the library. Your performance could be musical--singing or instrumental--or spoken word--poetry or short story. We also have a karaoke machine! Live in the Library is taking place all day on Friday, April 28. Stop in the library to sign up or use the link in Advisory. We have many more spaces to fill. If you don't have a study hall, you could perform during Advisory Period!
