Day 1


Good Morning East High School, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


GSA will be meeting after school in the LMC.  All students are welcome to attend.  If you have any questions about the club, please see Ms. Wetzel or Ms. Frank.


The Art Department invites you to attend the annual East High School Art Exhibit on Friday, May 12 from 6-8pm!  Come and see your art, and the artwork your classmates have been working on all year!  Charcoal portraits!  Mixed Media Art and Assemblages! Acrylic Paintings! Textural art pieces! Drawings and more!  We are so proud of all of your hard work!  We would love for you to bring family and friends to see the work too!

Also, Students and staff are welcome to visit the library to preview  the art that will be on display Friday, May 12th.  The art in your East High LMC is on display from now until Thursday, May 11th. As Albert Einstein once said, "Creativity is intelligence having fun!"  Enjoy the amazing artwork created by our brilliant art students!

 

Attention 9th -10th and 11th graders: Please check your email from Mr. VandenHouten with the subject Student Council Class Elections and vote for the people you want to represent you next year on the council. You have until Friday to vote. 

 

Students for Social Justice: Students for Social Justice is meeting this Friday after school. This is our last meeting of the year. I hope you can make the meeting!

 

Last night the track team competed in the City Track Meet at Southwest 

placing in the top 3 for the girls were: Faith Weatherspoon 2nd in the 100m and the 200m, Adriana Garcia 1st in the 800m, the 4x200 took 2nd consisting of Adriana Garcia, Zola Schilz, Kimoria Oliver, and Faith Weatherspoon. For the boys: Kayden Fenlon 1st in the 110 hurdles, 1st in the 300 Hurdles, and second in the pole vault, Hayden Josephs 2nd in the high jump, the 4x200 team took 3rd consisting of Greg Denny, Huw Griffiths, Hayden Josephs, Keyan Skorzewski, the 4x400 team took 3rd consisting of Huw Griffiths, Keyan Skorzewski, Noah Carlson, and Hayden Josephs, the 4x800 team took 2nd consisting of Ian Froelich, Noah Carlson, Adian Kostroski, and Larson Parks 

The Throwers 4x100 took 1st consisting of David Ayala, Ever Torres, Ivan Becerra, and Julio Perez.

 

We at East High School acknowledge that we are located on land and water that is the current and ancestral homeland of the Menominee Indian Nation, the Ho-Chunk Nation and home of the Oneida Nation. We honor and respect the many diverse Indigenous spiritual and physical caretakers of this land who have retained tribal sovereignty, treaty rights, and cultural resilience. We uphold our responsibility to repair relationships, initiate partnerships, and stand with members of these and all First Nations.
