Day 2


Good Morning East High School, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


Attention all students interested in a nursing career!  HOSA will be hosting an informational meeting TOMORROW Wednesday, May 17th, after school in room 133.  We have a guest speaker who will be outlining the different kinds of jobs there are in nursing and what the educational requirements are. Did you know that you could become certified to be a CNA while you are still in high school? This is a must come to meeting if you know for sure you would like to work in the nursing field or just are curious as to what the possibilities are.  Please see Mrs. Christopherson or Mrs. Enderby if you have any questions.

 

Attention all girls interested in playing high school golf next fall, there is information and a signup form in the main office.  Girls golf is a no-cut sport and players of all experience levels are encouraged to join.  Grab a friend and join the girls' golf team!

 

Spring Band & Orchestra Concerts: The East High Band and Orchestra Ensembles will have Spring Concert performances this week, Wednesday, May 17th in the auditorium.  Orchestra students take the stage at 6:30 pm, followed by Band students at 7:30 pm. Students, teachers, and staff are invited to attend this wonderful evening of music.  Admission is free - cookies will be served by the Music-Parents group following the program.

 

East High Musical Theatre: Show reveal and all the details are coming this week - students are invited to a meeting on Wednesday 3:15 - 3:30 in the choir room!! 

The show has great roles and team jobs for students interested in cast, pit orchestra, wardrobe, make-up, technical and backstage teams, publicity, set builders, and more!! 

 

Yesterday your East High Boys Golf team competed at the Shawano JV Golf Invitational and rocked their best scores of the year.  The team took sixth place out of ten teams and all golfers had their best rounds of the year.  Owen Klotz had a 92, Austen Chanthadouangsy 94, Anthony Slota 106 and Tyler Arvey 113.  

 

Attention Link Crew Leaders:  Please check our Google Classroom for upcoming dates and information from Mrs. Baumann.  These are dates and activities open to our current Leaders as well as new Link Crew Leaders.  If anyone has any questions about Link Crew, please see Mrs. Baumann in room 301.

 

Events of the day: Baseball games @ 4:30pm JV @ Perkins park, Varsity @ Joannes both teams vs Menasha.

 

Word of the Day: Disapprobation, noun, refers to the act or state of disapproving or of being disapproved of.
