Day 2


Good Morning East High School, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


Attention all girls interested in playing high school golf next fall, there is information and a signup form in the main office.  Girls golf is a no-cut sport and players of all experience levels are encouraged to join.  Grab a friend and join the girls' golf team!


Do you want to participate in the best sport ever?  If so, girl's tennis is looking for players!  We have everything you need:  Raquets, shoes, cute tennis skirts!  Sign up in the office!  Practices start in June, so sign up soon!

 

Yearbook Club: Check your emails for information about later this week.  

 

Choir Students: Concert run-through today from 3:15 - 4:15 in the auditorium!

 

Hello from the Art Department! If you are an art student that had artwork in a display case or in the art show  - Thank you so much for letting us display your artwork! The art show was a complete success and the display cases looked amazing - We couldn't have done it without you!! Please stop by either art room anytime during the day or right after school (between 3-3:15) to pick up your artwork. Any Art left behind after June 2nd will be considered art donated to the art department. Art not picked up may be used as future art examples, put on display over the summer months or sold in an art auction fundraiser to support the Green Bay East Art Department.

 

Spring Choir Concert: The East High Spring Choir Concert will be performed  Wednesday, May 24th at 7:00 pm in the auditorium.  Students, teachers, and staff are invited to this wonderful evening of music!!  Admission is free - cookies will be served by the Music-Parents group following the program. 

 

Matilda, the Musical: Fall Musical information is available now!!  The show has great opportunities for cast, tech crew, pit orchestra, and backstage teams. Get all the details & info through the link in announcements – Matilda Info Link or by emailing Mrs. Tjoflat at [email protected].

 

Students you may have received an email with a survey labeled "Summer Menstrual Products".  If you would like to have a supply of free menstrual products for the summer months you will need to fill this survey out.  

 

Seniors: Celebrate your accomplishments by joining your fellow Class of 2023 graduates at Senior Send Off on Thursday, May 25th during your scheduled lunch for food and games. You will receive your invite and meal ticket from your advisory teacher. Senior Send Off will be outside on the football field. Congratulations, and see you there! 

 

Tomorrow’s dress up day is college color or future college day and do not forget about the food trucks tomorrow at lunch. 

 

Attention all AVID students: We will be having our annual awards meeting this Wednesday May 24th during 5th hour. Do not go to your 5th period class Wednesday; but rather, go to the cafeteria right away after 4th period finished. Attendance will be taken there. You will not be going to your 5th period class at all that day. 

 

Last night the boys and girls track teams competed in the regional meet and moving on to sectionals were the girls 4x200 team consisting of Faith Weatherspoon, Kimoria Oliver, Zola Schilz, and Adriana Garcia, Adriana Garcia in the 800m, Faith Weatherspoon in the 200m, Kayden Fenlon in the 110 hurdles, Huw Griffiths in the 1600m, Hayden Josephs in the High Jump. Congratulations!

 

Our 31st annual Green Bay East fishing tournament will be held on June 3, 2023. This is the Wisconsin DNR Free Fishing weekend so you don’t need a fishing license to come and fish. We will be meeting by the footbridge in the school parking lot and fishing from 8 - 11 am. All current students and staff are welcome to attend. Prizes awarded for largest, smallest, and most fish caught. There will be extra equipment available for those who don’t own any.
