Day 2

Good Morning East High School, it is a great day to be a Red Devil and these are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Hello from the Art Department! If you are an art student that had artwork in a display case or in the art show  - Thank you so much for letting us display your artwork! The art show was a complete success and the display cases looked amazing - We couldn't have done it without you!! Please stop by either art room anytime during the day or right after school (between 3-3:15) to pick up your artwork. Any Art left behind after June 2nd will be considered art donated to the art department. Art not picked up may be used as future art examples, put on display over the summer months or sold in an art auction fundraiser to support the Green Bay East Art Department.

Parking Passes: Students this is a reminder that if you have a parking pass you need to turn them in by the end of the day on June 8th. All passes not returned will result in a $10.00 charge.

Root Beer Floats: Has the warm weather been getting to you? If so, the sophomore class will be selling root beer and orange cream floats in the cafe lobby during lunch hours on Wednesday and Thursday while supplies last. Stop down to cool off!

Our 31st annual Green Bay East fishing tournament will be held on June 3, 2023. This is the Wisconsin DNR Free Fishing weekend so you don’t need a fishing license to come and fish. We will be meeting by the footbridge in the school parking lot and fishing from 8 - 11 am. All current students and staff are welcome to attend. Prizes awarded for largest, smallest, and most fish caught. There will be extra equipment available for those who don’t own any. Please sign up with Mr. Fisk, [email protected], or stop by room 227 if you have any questions.

Attention all students who will be in co-curriculars in the fall (musical and sports) - there will be a MANDATORY parent/student Code of Conduct meeting on Monday, June 5th at 6:30pm in the Auditorium. See you there!

Library: All students: Please bring your charged Chromebook to school. By 7:45, we checked out our last Loaner Chromebook. If you borrow a Loaner Chromebook, return it by the end of the day.

Students, please check your email. Any students who have textbooks checked out received an email last week. All library books and textbooks need to be returned before summer break. Unreturned items will be charged for the price of the books. Seniors, turn in your Chromebook and charger when you are finished with exams. Any personal stickers need to be removed before you turn them in.

Book Club: Book Club meets tomorrow. Please check your email for a message about our last lunch meeting.

Word of the Day: Nemesis, noun, a formidable foe, an opponent or enemy who is very difficult to defeat. As a proper noun, Nemesis refers to the Greek goddess of vengeance.
