Day 1

Good morning, East High School... Be respectful, be dependable, be prepared, and remember, it is a great day to be a Red Devil. These are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Congrats to the Red Devils boys soccer team after their big win last night over Wausau East! The game went into overtime and Vicente Vazquez Ordaz and Luis Saldana each scored a goal, giving the team a 2-0 victory! Please come cheer on the boys Saturday, October 21 at West De Pere. Kickoff is at 1:00 pm and admission is $6 for everyone. Go Red Devils!

Tickets are on sale, in the main office or online, for the East High production of Matilda the Musical. It's a terrific show, based on the children's book by Roald Dahl. Performances are November 3, 4, 10, and 11 in the auditorium, and all seats are reserved. Use the ticket link in announcements page-- East High-Matilda Tix! or check the QR code in posters around school.

We all know relationships can be tough, but did you know 1 in 3 young people will experience abuse by a partner while dating? It’s a lot more common than we think! October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month- it’s time to take action, talk to a friend in need, and share helpful resources. If you or someone you know needs help, you can text “loveis” to 22522 to talk with an Advocate or call Golden House, or local domestic violence agency at 920-435-0100.

What is a baby ghost's favorite game to play at Halloween? Answer: Peek-a-BOOOO! Hey all you Red Devils, mark your calendars. On Monday. October 30th 6:00-8:00PM we are having an RDP Halloween Dance Party. The dance is free and we'll have pizza and snacks at the Concessions stand. Stay tuned, more information to come....

Halloween Trivia continues in the library! Answer correctly and win a treat. Here's today's question: According to Destiny, the online library catalog, how many different PRINT books does the library have with “Frankenstein” in the title? Yesterday's answer was Twilight. The winner was Jennifer Duarte Castillo.

We, the members of the Green Bay Area Public School District, recognize and honor the original inhabitants of Northeast Wisconsin. Our district lives, works and learns upon the ancestral homelands of the Menominee and Ho-Chunk Nations, and the current homeland of Oneida Nation. We acknowledge the 12 diverse and vibrant Wisconsin First Nations, who have persevered here since before recorded time, and continue to be integral parts of our community. We uphold our responsibility to repair relationships, initiate partnerships, and stand with all First Nations communities.
