Day 1

Good morning, East High School... Be respectful, be dependable, be prepared, and remember, it is a great day to be a Red Devil. These are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

For anyone interested in football, Fox River Classic Youth Football is now taking registrations for non-contact Spring leagues. There will be a 7v7 boys and girls league and a girls only flag football league. See the flyer attached for more information!

Halloween is right around the corner, and the Student Council has the perfect gift for you to surprise your special someone or anyone. Student Council is selling Boo Bags this week before school. What are Boo Bags? They are bags of tricks and treats that will be delivered to the person of your choosing on Halloween. SOME lucky Boo Bags will have gift cards in them to local businesses or East apparel! So stop down in the main office lobby before school to purchase one through Thursday morning. The cost is $3 each or 2 for $5.

The East High Fall musical theatre production of Matilda the musical opens in less than two weeks. The cast, pit orchestra, and tech teams have a great show in the works. We hope that students and staff will come out to see the performance! Shows are November 3, 4, and 10 at 7:00 pm, and November 11 at 1:00 pm. Tickets are on sale now - $6.00 for students and $8.00 for adults! Here's the ticket link - East High-Matilda Tix! or stop in the main office to get your reserved seats.

(sing the 1st line) “Do you ever feel like a plastic bag drifting through the wind?” Or like you don’t have a voice when it comes to the laws that actually impact your life because you can’t vote yet? Would you like to have a chance to share your opinions and stories directly to your elected officials in a way that they will really hear you? Come to the Library after school this Wednesday to hear Wisconsin Legislator Shelton explain how you can have a say in politics even without being able to vote.

Attention girls and boys basketball players: on Tuesday, October 24 there will be a mandatory code of conduct meeting for all players and their parents. The meeting will be held in room 309 at 6:00 pm. See you there!

Which type of pants do ghosts wear trick or treating? Answer: Booo-jeans! On Monday, October 30th from 6:00-8:00 pm we are having an RDP Halloween Dance Party. The dance is free, and we'll have pizza at the Concessions stand. We have an awesome DJ and games to play. You can wear costumes too! How do you earn this awesome dance? RDP is 85% attendance, no major referrals, and your lunch detentions need to be served. Remember: don’t take two lunches, take one. Stay tuned, more information to come…
