Day 1


Good morning, East High School... Be respectful, be dependable, be prepared, and remember, it is a great day to be a Red Devil. These are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


It's "opening week" of the fall musical production, Matilda, the Musical. Students in the pit orchestra, tech teams, and cast invite students and staff to attend. Tickets are on sale in the main office and online - make plans to see this amazing show!


Buff Puff is back! What is Buff Puff? It is a coed volleyball competition between the classes. It will be held on November 9 and start at 6:30pm in our own gym. Stop in the office and pick up a form and form your team! Grades and attendance count! Forms are due back in the office by November 7th. 

 

Book Club met last week. Please return your copy of Promise Boys. Stop in the library to get our next pick, Man Made Monsters. Our next meeting is November 29.

 

Do you like coloring? Do you like winning prizes? It's time for our annual Day of the Dead Coloring Contest! Stop in the library to pick up your coloring page and check out the details. Contest ends at 3:15 on Wednesday, November 1.


Attention Juniors that signed up to take the PSAT: Reminder- the test is tomorrow, Tuesday, October 31 at 7:30 am sharp in room 309. Please bring your chromebook, charging cord, and pencils. No cell phones allowed!


What do you call two witches trick or treating together? Answer: Broommates. Tonight is the RDP Halloween Dance Party! Advisory teachers will be handing out tickets today. If you have an RDP ticket, we will see you there from 6:00 - 8:00pm at the small gym. Make sure you bring your physical student ID to get into the dance!


Word of the Day: Werewolf, noun- refers to a person transformed into a wolf or capable of assuming a wolf's form, especially during the full moon
