Day 2


Good morning, East High School... Be respectful, be dependable, be prepared, and remember, it is a great day to be a Red Devil. These are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


Today is the opening performance of Matilda the Musical! All the best to the cast, pit orchestra, technical teams, and directors - "Break a Leg" (that means good luck in theatre/music). Tickets are available in the main office, online, or you can get a ticket at the door when you come to the show!  


Thank you to all the students and staff who visited the library to vote yesterday. After tallying more than 150 votes, Alexis Skenandore is the winner of the Coloring Contest! Stop in the library today to claim your prize! Stay tuned for our next library community event!


Attention Boys Basketball players- Open gym will be held today from 3:30-5:00 pm.


Attention bowlers: Sign ups and practices for Bowling Club will be held at Riviera Lanes on Monday, November 6 and Wednesday, November 8 at 4:00 pm. We hope to see you there!

 

Buff Puff is back! What is Buff Puff? It is a coed volleyball competition between the classes. Teams are composed of 4 boys and 4 girls all in the same grade. It will be held on November 9 and start at 6:30pm in our own gym. Stop in the office and pick up a form and form your team! Grades and attendance count! Forms are due back in the office by November 7th. 

 

Hey Seniors: if you want to be a part of Turkey Day please stop in the Main Office and sign up by Wednesday, November 8th. Turkey day bidding will start next week and Turkey Day is November 17th.


ASVAB Testing- The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery test is a multiple-aptitude battery (test) that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. You can sign up in the Career Center with Ms. Kong to take the ASVAB. This does not commit you to anything, but it can help you figure out your career interests and plans for after graduation. The test helps explore career interests in general. The test will be on November 9 from 7:30-11:30 am. The last day to sign up is Monday, November 6. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Kong!
