Day 1

Good morning, East High School... Be respectful, be dependable, be prepared, and remember, it is a great day to be a Red Devil. These are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Last Thursday was Buff Puff and here are the results: the overall winner was the staff team, but they really do not count so let's get to the important part. The top 2 teams came out of the same bracket. Your Worst Nightmare made up of Seniors took down the Junior team of Save a Horse in a tie breaker match. The best costume design goes to the Super Smash Brothers team that really repped the theme. Kudos to the freshmen class for having 3 different teams in the competition! Be on the lookout for Dodgeball some time during the winter, and keep up the grades and attendance so you can join us!

Are you passionate about arguing? Do you love to prove that you are right? Do you want to put another club on your college application? Then join the East High School Debate Team! We need students like you who are invested in their future. Anybody from every skill level is welcome! If you’re interested, please join us for our first meeting on Wednesday, November 15 at 7:00 am. The meeting will be held in Room 314.

Attention bowlers- if anyone is interested in joining the East High bowling team, come out to Riviera Lanes on Wednesday, November 15 at 4:00 pm for practice and sign-ups. See you there!

Registration is now open for 7 on 7 football and Girls flag and 7 on 7 Gridiron Football. Check out the attached fliers and contact Nick Brunette if you are interested. There are special discounts for all interested students, and scholarships or financial aid support are also available to students who need it.

Caw, caw! A little birdy told me that your Green Bay East FFA will have a fundraiser drive for the Wisconsin Humane Society, Green Bay Campus now through the fifteenth. Check out the posters around school for a list of what they need. If you’re moved to donate, bring those items into either the main office or room 153. If you have any questions, ask Jordyn Theory or Mr. Mark-cart.

It's Monday! On Mondays, be sure to check your email to see if you have any overdue library materials. Overdue emails are sent out Monday morning.

Did you hear about the password reset? Do you want to see Georgie? Be sure to pay attention to today's Library Advisory video. Georgie stars in the latest library video that includes important reminders and helpful hints about changing your password tomorrow.

To help you prepare for final exams, Link Crew and NHS will sponsor a Study-a-Thon this week Thursday, November 16th and Friday, November 17th from 3 pm to 5 pm in room 309. Snacks will be provided!

NHS members- Our monthly meeting will be tomorrow, Tuesday, November 14th at 7:00am in room 309.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Garay or Mrs. McGrath.

Attention Juniors - Are you tired of working at a part time job that you hate? The Business Senior Internship class is looking for a few ambitious people who want to get a head start on their career and distinguish themselves from the rest of the job-hunting crowd. Are you the person we are searching for? The ideal candidate is an outgoing individual with good grades and excellent attendance, who is on track for graduation and wants to earn high school and college credit in a paid work experience during their senior year. Do you think you have what it takes? Then see Mr. Christy in room 222 or 226 for more information. Space is limited to the first 15 qualified applicants so if you’re interested you need to see Mr. Christy ASAP.

Attention FBLA members- The FBLA meeting previously scheduled for last Thursday is rescheduled for Tuesday, November 14th at 7am in room 222. We will be working on sign ups for regional Competitive Events. Again, FBLA meeting tomorrow at 7am in 222.

"Hats Off" to the entire musical production, and congratulations on your second weekend of Matilda the Musical. Fantastic performances, with great teamwork, dedication, and storytelling. Bravo!!

FAI Music Students- Trimester 1 portfolio binders are due on Monday, November 20th by noon. You may turn them in anytime this week.

Attention NERDs- We will be having our first gaming meeting this Thursday, November 16 after school in 201. Come ready to play! See Google Classroom for more details!
