Day 2


Good morning, East High School... Be respectful, be dependable, be prepared, and remember, it is a great day to be a Red Devil. These are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


Attention NERDs- We will be having our first gaming meeting this Thursday, November 16 after school in 201. Come ready to play! See Google Classroom for more details!


Attention bowlers- if anyone is interested in joining the East High bowling team, come out to Riviera Lanes on Wednesday, November 15 at 4:00 pm for practice and sign-ups. See you there!


Attention Juniors - Are you tired of working at a part time job that you hate? The Business Senior Internship class is looking for a few ambitious people who want to get a head start on their career and distinguish themselves from the rest of the job-hunting crowd. Are you the person we are searching for? The ideal candidate is an outgoing individual with good grades and excellent attendance, who is on track for graduation and wants to earn high school and college credit in a paid work experience during their senior year. Do you think you have what it takes? Then see Mr. Christy in room 222 or 226 for more information. Space is limited to the first 15 qualified applicants so if you’re interested you need to see Mr. Christy ASAP.


Woof, woof! Your Green Bay East FFA has a fundraiser drive for the Wisconsin Humane Society, Green Bay Campus going on today and tomorrow! There is a big red deposit box and donation jar in the main office and room 153. If you have any questions, ask Jordyn Theory or Mr. Mark-cart.


The following colleges and Armed Service groups will be visiting our school this week:

  • College of Menominee Nation - Wednesday, November 15 at 8:30 am in the Career Center
  • UW-Milwaukee - Thursday, November 16 at 8:30 am in the Career Center
  • Air Force - Friday, November 17 in the cafeteria during the lunch hours

Lovin’ the Skin I’m In & Girls on the Run of Northeast Wisconsin is sponsoring a Barbie movie night on Friday, November 17 at Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary. The event starts at 5:30 pm and the movie will start at 7:00 pm. Tickets start at $5 per person. Check out this flyer for more information.
Turkey Day: Attention East students. Is there a senior you want to make look goofy or make them do something funny? If so, stop by room 108 to bid on the senior Turkeys. Students can bid until 3:10 Tomorrow and then staff has until 3:15 to bid on the turkeys and then you can dress them up on Friday morning!

 

Vocal Jazz/Chamber Singers: A reminder that we have a short meeting today after school 3:15-3:45. On the agenda is our holiday caroling gigs and our New Orleans song set.

 

Fall Concert - you're invited! The East Music Department Fall Concert Series is this Saturday, November 18th in the auditorium. Instrumental and Choir Ensembles will perform. Orchestra at 2:00pm, Choir at 3:00pm and Band at 4:00pm. Admission is free, and cookies will be served after each concert!!

 

Attention FBLA members- Tomorrow is American Enterprise Day! Each year FBLA members celebrate this day in honor of the system that forms the backbone of the US economy and celebrates the American entrepreneurial spirit. Check your school email for a special invitation from the FBLA National office to participate in the FBLA  American Enterprise Day Career Panel tomorrow night. During this video conference you will get to meet with guest speakers from some of the most prominent corporations in the world. Check your school email today for more details and information about how to register for the conference.


To help you prepare for final exams, Link Crew and NHS will sponsor a Study-a-Thon this week Thursday, November 16th and Friday, November 17th from 3 pm to 5 pm in room 309. Snacks will be provided!


Are you passionate about arguing? Do you love to prove that you are right? Do you want to put another club on your college application? Then join the East High School Debate Team! We need students like you who are invested in their future. Anybody from every skill level is welcome! If you’re interested, please join us for our first meeting on Wednesday, November 15 at 7:00 am. The meeting will be held in Room 314.
