Day 2


Good morning, East High School... Be respectful, be dependable, be prepared, and remember, it is a great day to be a Red Devil. These are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


Attention all students- Have you logged into Classlink Launchpad and changed your password? If you have not changed your password to a new 15 character password, please stop in the library for help today. Please remember to shutdown your computer every night.


You're invited! The East Music Department Fall Concert Series is this Saturday, November 18th in the auditorium. Instrumental and Choir Ensembles will perform. Orchestra at 2:00pm, Choir at 3:00pm, and Band at 4:00pm. Admission is free, and cookies will be served after each concert!!

 

Matilda Cast- We are singing a couple songs from the show in the 3:00 choir concert on Saturday. Wear your musical t-shirt - check google classroom for details!

 

The Air Force will be here to visit tomorrow in the cafeteria during all lunch hours. 

 

Attention NERDs- We will be having our first gaming meeting today after school in 201. Come ready to play! See Google Classroom for more details!


Lovin’ the Skin I’m In & Girls on the Run of Northeast Wisconsin is sponsoring a Barbie movie night tomorrow, Friday, November 17 at Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary. The event starts at 5:30 pm and the movie will start at 7:00 pm. Tickets start at $5 per person. Check out this flyer for more information.

 

To help you prepare for final exams, Link Crew and NHS will sponsor a Study-a-Thon today, November 16th and Friday, November 17th from 3 pm to 5 pm in room 309. Snacks will be provided!


Young scholars! Please return any overdue library books before the end of Trimester 1. If you have any textbooks checked out and do not have the class Trimester 2, please return them before the end of the trimester. Stop in the library if you have questions.

 

A friendly reminder from the library staff: There is no food or drink allowed in the library. This includes coffee, energy drinks, soda, etc. The only exception is bottled water. 

 

The library is organizing a chess tournament. If you are interested in playing chess in a tournament set for mid-December, stop in the library to sign up.

 

Attention Juniors- Do you want to gain valuable career experience during your senior year? Do you want to earn high school and college credits while working in a job that prepares you for the future? Would you like to get paid while you’re learning? Then you should sign up for Business Senior Internship. The ideal candidate is an outgoing individual with good grades and excellent attendance, who is on track for graduation and wants to earn high school and college credit in a paid work experience during their senior year. Do you think you have what it takes? Then see Mr. Christy in room 222 or 226 for more information. Space is limited to the first 15 qualified applicants so if you’re interested you need to see Mr. Christy ASAP.

 

This week is Transgender Awareness Week; a week to highlight the existence and accomplishments of people in the Trans community.  You may have noticed the Gender Spectrum fliers around school.  GSA invites you all to take a look and learn more about various identities.
