Day 1


Good morning, East High School... Be respectful, be dependable, be prepared, and remember, it is a great day to be a Red Devil. These are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


Attention NERDs, we will be having a meeting this Thursday (11/30) at 3:15 in Room 201! Be thinking of ideas for games you'd like picked up for our next meeting!


Attention Juniors-  Are you tired of working at a low paying job dealing with crabby customers every day? Are you wondering how you can develop the job skills that employers are looking for? Then you should check out Business Senior Internship! As a Senior Internship student, you will work in a challenging job based on your future career plans during your senior year, get paid, and earn high school and college credit. Does this sound interesting?  Then see Mr. Christy in room 222 or 226 for more information. Space is limited, so if you’re interested you need to see Mr. Christy ASAP.

 

Attention Link Crew Leaders: We will not be meeting with freshman advisories this week. Instead, keep an eye on our Google Classroom for further information in the next few days.

 

If you are interested in taking part in the School Play as an actor, a crew member, a tech person, make-up, costumes, hair, whatever - then show up to room 322 after school on Thursday for a short informational meeting. Thursday, room 322 after school. THEATRE!!

 

We will have a long-awaited HOSA meeting this Thursday, November 30th after school and again before school on Friday, December 1st in Room 133. You do not have to come to both- I am just giving you more than one opportunity to make the meeting. If you can’t make it to one, come to the other! Please see Mrs. Christopherson for any questions. 

 

Did you know that poinsettias are also called “lobster flowers” for their fiery red color? If you gift a lobster flower for Christmas, that must make you Santa “Claws”! The Poinsettia Sale will take place in the East Greenhouse Friday, December 1st and 8th from 3:00-6:00pm and Saturday, December 2nd and 9th from 10:00 am-. A large, two plant arrangement of red and white poinsettias are sixteen dollars each and a one plant poinsettias are eight dollars each. Again: Poinsettias, this Friday after school & Saturday from ten until two, at the greenhouse!

 

Attention FBLA members- We have a meeting tomorrow at 7am in room 222. Topics will include competitive event sign ups, and Business Bowl this Friday. Please plan to attend this important meeting.

 

Book Club meets today to discuss Man Made Monsters. Please bring your lunch and copy of the book to the discussion. See Ms. Ollmann if you need a pass to the cafeteria.
