Day 2


Good morning, East High School... Be respectful, be dependable, be prepared, and remember, it is a great day to be a Red Devil. These are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


The Green Bay East Student Council is holding a priority food drive for the Eats for East Pantry. What does that mean? Well, our pantry is in need of certain items at this time and the Student Council will give you a chance to win gift cards to local businesses if you bring in those specific items. Here's how: look at the list of Priority Items and bring the items to the main office before school December 11-15 and you will receive a raffle ticket for each priority item you bring in. We will accept all non-perishable items, but raffle tickets will be given for priority items. 


Latino Club will be meeting next Wednesday at 3pm in room 234. See you there. Please check Google Classroom and your email for more information.

Matilda Cast, Pit, and Tech: Meeting today at 3:15 in the choir room.  We will share our Center Stage adjudication comments, hand out senior 4-year shirts, and update with spring information. All are welcome to attend.


Concert Choir: Masterclass today during 2nd period.


Attention Juniors- Time is running out! If you are interested in being part of the Business Senior Internship program you need to see Mr. Christy in room 222 or 226 before you submit your course requests this week with your guidance counselor. Again, last call for juniors who are interested in being in Business Senior Internship next year. See Mr. Christy ASAP.

 

Hey, students! We're looking for at least 5 more chess players for our tournament during the week December 18. Sign up with this link or stop in the library.

 

Say “poinsettia” and you probably think of a bold red color. But did you know that your Green Bay East FFA also sells a white, pink, & even glitter poinsettia? All colors are going fast at our Poinsettia Sale taking place in the East Greenhouse Friday, December eighth from three to six pm. and Saturday, December ninth from ten am. until two pm. A large, two plant arrangement of red and white poinsettias are sixteen dollars each and a one plant poinsettias are eight dollars each. Again: Poinsettias, TOMORROW after school & Saturday from ten until two, at the greenhouse!

 

Hey Yearbook Club - Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, December 13th at 3:10pm. We will be meeting in Mr. Buss's Art room, room 113. We have our first deadline coming up. Our cover for the yearbook needs to be complete by January 15. At this meeting we will need to work together to decide on a theme, start coming up with ideas for the cover, and make a plan to get it created. We need all the creative brain power we can get, so please make sure to attend this meeting if you want to have input on the theme that will carry through our entire yearbook and the cover. Again, Yearbook meeting on Wednesday the 13th in room 113. See you there!

 

Attention HOSA! If you are planning on participating in the Regional Leadership Competition, you must let Mrs Christopherson know ASAP. Registration closes this weekend.  

 

Hey! Do you like to talk? Or are you thinking about talking more? Then Forensics is for you! The Forensics season is upon us so we will be having our first meeting next Thursday, December 14th after school in Room 133. If you can't make it, there will be another one Friday, December 15th before school at 7am- also in Room 133. Please see Mrs.Christopherson for any questions.

 

Attention all Visual Fine Arts students! Visual Fine Arts students! Our first meeting of the new trimester is tonight! Please be there on time to start at 3:15. We will be introduced to our new project for the trimester. See you there!
