Day 1

Good morning, East High School... Be respectful, be dependable, be prepared, and remember, it is a great day to be a Red Devil. These are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

This is a reminder to all students- If you are attending any after school activities, groups, or events, including basketball games, you need to have 85% (or better) attendance, no major referrals, and no double lunches. If you do not meet these requirements, you will be turned away at the door!

Attention East High School: Do you want to send your friends a personalized gift for the holidays? Buy a Candy Cane Gram! The Dancing Devils are selling personalized Candy Cane Grams. Each Candy Cane Gram has a personalized pouch with your desired name on it, along with 3 candy canes, and a message to your friend! Candy Cane Grams are $5.00. If you would like to purchase one and see an example of one of the pouches, find one of the Dancing Devils team members or Mr.Esrom! Today is the last day to purchase a Candy Cane Gram. Happy Holidays!

Save the date: after school Thursday, January fourth for Apps with Apps night! Come to work on applications, either for FFA, college, or other scholarships, all while eating appetizers! Again: Thursday, January fourth, after school, room one fifty-three.

For the upcoming summer, UW-Madison-CAPE program is offering a range of 2-credit courses in Rehab Psych & Special Education, Art, and Health Promotion & Health Equity. This variety ensures that students can pursue their passions and delve deeper into subjects that truly resonate with them. To learn more about the program, students can visit go.wisc.edu/cape to learn more and apply. The CAPE application is open.

Attention freshmen: Want to end 2023 on a high note, and start 2024 with less school stuff to worry about? Well, after school this week Thursday, December 21st in room 309, Link Crew is hosting a socialize and study event for 9th graders! It'll be a great way to get caught up on school work, collaborate with your peers, get a little help from some upperclassmen, and maybe have a holiday treat before you leave for winter break! Again, this is open to all freshmen after school this week Thursday, December 21st. Get caught up before the new year! Any questions, please see Ms. Baumann in room 301.

The Sophomore Student Council group is having a bake sale before school and during the lunch hours on Tuesday and Wednesday This week. Stop in for a sweet treat!

If you need menstrual products for Winter break, please come down to Student Services and we will be able to supply you with enough products to cover you over the break.

If your family needs a bag of food over Winter Break, please fill out the self-referral form that has been sent to your email, and social workers will meet the needs. Please fill out the referral form by the end of the school day tomorrow, Thursday, December 20th so they have enough time to do this.

Book Club meets today to discuss The Life and Crimes of Hoodie Rosen. If you read the book, please plan on having your lunch in the library today. Stop in the library if you need a pass from the cafeteria.

We, the members of the Green Bay Area Public School District, recognize and honor the original inhabitants of Northeast Wisconsin. Our district lives, works and learns upon the ancestral homelands of the Menominee and Ho-Chunk Nations, and the current homeland of Oneida Nation. We acknowledge the 12 diverse and vibrant Wisconsin First Nations, who have persevered here since before recorded time, and continue to be integral parts of our community. We uphold our responsibility to repair relationships, initiate partnerships, and stand with all First Nations communities.
