Day 2


Good morning, East High School... Be respectful, be dependable, be prepared, and remember, it is a great day to be a Red Devil. These are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


With many great doors, it was very hard to decide the winners, but the top three door decoration winners are as follows: 

3rd place - room 301 -Ms. Baumann

2nd place - room 225 - Ms. Kieffer

1st place- room 320 - Ms. Imlay

This is a reminder to all students- if you are attending any after school activities including basketball games, you need to have 85% (or better) attendance, no major referrals, and no double lunches. If you do not meet these requirements, you will be turned away at the door!


Save the date: after school Thursday, January fourth for Apps with Apps night! Come to work on applications, either for FFA, college, or other scholarships, all while eating appetizers! Again: Thursday, January fourth, after school, room one fifty-three.

 

For the upcoming summer, UW-Madison-CAPE program is offering a range of 2-credit courses in Rehab Psych & Special Education, Art, and Health Promotion & Health Equity. This variety ensures that students can pursue their passions and delve deeper into subjects that truly resonate with them. To learn more about the program, students can visit go.wisc.edu/cape to learn more and apply. The CAPE application is open.

 

If you need menstrual products for Winter break, please come down to Student Services and we will be able to supply you with enough products to cover you over the break.

 

If your family needs a bag of food over Winter Break, please fill out the self-referral form that has been sent to your email, and social workers will meet the needs. Please fill out the referral form by the end of the school day tomorrow, Thursday, December 20th so they have enough time to do this.

Book Club met yesterday. Please return your copy of The Life and Crimes of Hoodie Rosen. Our next book is ready for check out. Cory Anderson's What Beauty There Is a survival story set in Idaho, a cold harsh setting where 17 year old Jack Morton has nothing left. "Except his younger brother, Matty, who he'd do anything for.
