Day 2


Good morning, East High School... Be respectful, be dependable, be prepared, and remember, it is a great day to be a Red Devil. These are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


Apps with Apps! Are you a senior crunching for time on that scholarship application? Or that FAFSA application? Well, we made some time for you to finish and submit those applications. Come and join the Green Bay East FFA Chapter today, Thursday, January 4th in room 153 for the Apps with Apps night! Come eat appetizers and get help filling out applications for anything from scholarships to FFA related applications. This will be held from 3:15-5:00(ish)pm. Again, today after school, room 153.


The Green Bay Conservation Corps is hosting an event on January 15th, 2024, to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a National Day of Service for Americorps. The event will have 3 parts; Volunteer Service Project, Keynote Speaker, and Social Hour. If you are interested in volunteering or participating, please see the attached flyer.


All Fine Arts Institute students will have an Institute meeting tomorrow morning during advisory period in the auditorium.  Please come directly to the auditorium after 1st hour.


On Friday, January 5, the Air Force will be visiting during the lunch hours in the Cafeteria.


Interested in Forensics? Please see Mrs Christopherson in room 133 this week to get all the details.  This is a great opportunity to try something new. The season gets underway next month so we need to get started. 


Attention Juniors! Any Junior who is interested in learning more about the planning committees & duties for the Junior Prom dance is encouraged to attend a brief meeting on Wednesday, January 10th from 3:05 - 3:30pm in Room 242. Also- Mark your calendars for upcoming meetings at the same time & place on Wednesday, January 17th AND Wednesday, January 24th. 


Attention Visual Fine Arts students! It is Thursday, so we will meet today after school. Please be there at 3:15, as always - See you there!


ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) Testing- ASVAB is a multiple-aptitude battery (test) that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. You can now sign up in the Career Center with Ms. Kong to take the ASVAB. This does not commit you to anything, but it can help you figure out your career interests and plans for after graduation. The test helps explore career interests in general. The test will be Thursday, February 8th from 7:30-11:30 AM. The last day to sign up is Tuesday, February 6.
