The Green Bay Conservation Corps is hosting an event on January 15th, 2024, to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a National Day of Service for Americorps. The event will have 3 parts; Volunteer Service Project, Keynote Speaker, and Social Hour. If you are interested in volunteering or participating, please see the attached flyer.
ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) Testing- ASVAB is a multiple-aptitude battery (test) that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. You can now sign up in the Career Center with Ms. Kong to take the ASVAB. This does not commit you to anything, but it can help you figure out your career interests and plans for after graduation. The test helps explore career interests in general. The test will be Thursday, February 8th from 7:30-11:30 AM. The last day to sign up is Tuesday, February 6. Attention Juniors! Any Junior who is interested in helping with the Junior Prom dance is encouraged to attend our second, brief meeting on Wednesday, January 17th from 3:05-3:30pm in Room 242. We will be generating a list of potential themes & you won't want to miss this!
Attention softball players - Softball open gyms have started! They will be held on Sundays at West High School. Please visit this link for a list of dates and times.

Attention Visual Fine Arts students- The weekly meeting scheduled for today is canceled. Please be sure to plan for transportation accordingly.
Attention Red Devils, Silent Night is on Saturday January 27th starting at noon. One of the events is a wing eating contest of which East High is the defending champion. We are in need of 5 people to eat wings for East. Please sign up in the main office by January 18th. If we have more than 5 people, we will have a wing-off at the pep rally the day before. Students must be in good standing- grades and attendance will be checked for this event.
NHS members- We will be having our monthly meeting next Tuesday, January 16th at 7:00am in room 309. Any concerns please contact Mrs. McGrath or Mr. Garay.
Word of the Day: Mangle, verb- to ruin something due to carelessness or a lack of skill. It can also mean to injure or damage something or someone severely by cutting, tearing, or crushing.
