Day 1

Good morning, East High School... Be respectful, be dependable, be prepared, and remember, it is a great day to be a Red Devil. These are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Juniors! Today is the day- We will be meeting to discuss our list of themes & possibly vote at 3:05pm TODAY in Room 242. The meeting will end at 3:30pm.

The Army will be visiting in the Cafeteria today during the lunch hours.

Forensics: If you plan on participating in Forensics this year please, please, please verify your intent by communicating with Mrs Christopherson. All students need to be registered by the end of the school day today! The first event is February 12th in Kaukauna, and we would love to have you be part of it!

Calling all content creators, Instagramers, writers, editors, and photographers! Media Club needs you! We are looking for motivated, energetic students who want to tell the stories of East High in fun and engaging ways. There will be a short informational meeting February 1st after school in room 306. Students in this club will maintain our news website, social media sites, and podcasts. Again, February 1st after school in room 306. Or you can email Mrs. Van Ess ([email protected]) at any time.

Hey students…Do you have blood? Maybe a little more than you need? You should consider giving some away! Help save a life by donating blood on Wednesday, January 31st through the Community Blood Center’s blood drive hosted by HOSA. This blood drive is open to students 16 years old or older. 16 year olds will need parent permission, but 17 and older do not. The blood drive is being held during the school day so as an extra added bonus, you get to get out of class. Students, just so you know, you will receive 2 volunteer hours for donating- 1 for you, and 1 for the life you are helping to save. To register, please use the link in the announcements or contact Mrs. Christopherson. Please see Kristina or Emily in the office or Mrs Christopherson in room 133 to get a permission slip. https://donate.communityblood.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/37735

GSA will meet during advisory on Friday in the back of the LMC. Even if you've not been able to make any of the other meetings, you are welcome to attend!

We, the members of the Green Bay Area Public School District, recognize and honor the original inhabitants of Northeast Wisconsin. Our district lives, works and learns upon the ancestral homelands of the Menominee and Ho-Chunk Nations, and the current homeland of Oneida Nation. We acknowledge the 12 diverse and vibrant Wisconsin First Nations, who have persevered here since before recorded time, and continue to be integral parts of our community. We uphold our responsibility to repair relationships, initiate partnerships, and stand with all First Nations communities.

Word of the Day: Sarcasm, noun- using words that mean one thing to communicate the exact opposite of that thing, especially to insult someone, to show irritation, or to be funny

These have been your morning announcements.

Have a kind National Compliment Day and a great learning day!
