Day 2

Good morning, East High School... Be respectful, be dependable, be prepared, and remember, it is a great day to be a Red Devil. These are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Congratulations goes out to the Green Bay East Wing eating team of Dauntae Leyva Quinones, Nathaniel Tomac, Joey Kolze, Jayde Soto Diaz, and last minute addition of freshman Rowan Allen. East won in dominating fashion and even had the West principal trying to slow them down by telling them to drink water. Congrats, guys!

Hey students…Do you have blood? Maybe a little more than you need? You should consider giving some away! Help save a life by donating blood tomorrow through the Community Blood Center’s blood drive hosted by HOSA. This blood drive is open to students 16 years old or older. 16 year olds will need parent permission, but 17 and older do not. The blood drive is being held during the school day so as an extra added bonus, you get to get out of class. Students, just so you know, you will receive 2 volunteer hours for donating- 1 for you, and 1 for the life you are helping to save. To register, please use the link in the announcements or contact Mrs. Christopherson. Please see Kristina or Emily in the office or Mrs Christopherson in room 133 to get a permission slip. https://donate.communityblood.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/37735

Vocal Jazz Ensemble- Practice today after school 3:15-4:00 pm in the choir room.

Juniors- On Wednesday this week, we will have a brief meeting at 3:05 pm in Room 242 to finalize the remaining 4 prom theme descriptions! If you want your voice to be heard, please plan to attend! The meeting will conclude promptly at 3:30 pm.

Attention interested Softball players- There is a parent/player meeting on Thursday, February 1st at 6:00pm. The meeting will be held at West High School, and attendance is highly encouraged.

Attention students: Our winter dance, Snoball, is Saturday February 10. If you want to bring a guest from a different school, you will need to pick up a guest form in the attendance office. You will need to have your guest fill it out and return it back to the attendance office to be completed.

Attention past and present Physics and AP Physics students; please check your email for a Six Flags Physics Day Survey from Mrs. Chouinard. The survey is open from now until Wednesday 1/31.

Auditions for the school play Radium Girls will be held Feb 7th and 8th after school.  Check the Radium Girls Google Classroom for information about audition monologue packet or the show schedule, or just ask Mr. Willems in room 322 if you have any questions!

Calling all content creators, Instagramers, writers, editors, and photographers! Media Club needs you! We are looking for motivated, energetic students who want to tell the stories of East High in fun and engaging ways. There will be a short informational meeting February 1st after school in room 306. Students in this club will maintain our news website, social media sites, and podcasts. Again, February 1st after school in room 306. Or you can email Mrs. Van Ess ([email protected]) at any time.
