Day 1

Good morning, East High School... Be respectful, be dependable, be prepared, and remember, it is a great day to be a Red Devil. These are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Calling all content creators, Instagramers, writers, editors, and photographers! Media Club needs you! We are looking for motivated, energetic students who want to tell the stories of East High in fun and engaging ways. There will be a short informational meeting tomorrow, February 1st, after school in room 306. Students in this club will maintain our news website, social media sites, and podcasts. Again, February 1st after school in room 306. Or you can email Mrs. Van Ess ([email protected]) at any time.

East Seniors: check your GBAPS email for details on a FAFSA/Scholarship event happening today in the Career Center. Make a plan to attend!

Attention students: Our winter dance, Snoball, is Saturday February 10. If you want to bring a guest from a different school, you will need to pick up a guest form in the attendance office. You will need to have your guest fill it out and return it back to the attendance office to be completed.

Attention past and present Physics and AP Physics students; please check your email for a Six Flags Physics Day Survey from Mrs. Chouinard. The survey closes after today.

Red Devil Pride Classes of the Week: Wassup Red Devils?! Every week, your teacher will nominate a class that is following RDP rules and expectations. The classes that are chosen will then go on the wheel to be spun for a chance to win treats, snacks, and goodies from Mr. Niko. The winners for today are:

The RDP Department of the week is Social Studies! Congratulations from the Red Devil Pride team!

We, the members of the Green Bay Area Public School District, recognize and honor the original inhabitants of Northeast Wisconsin. Our district lives, works and learns upon the ancestral homelands of the Menominee and Ho-Chunk Nations, and the current homeland of Oneida Nation. We acknowledge the 12 diverse and vibrant Wisconsin First Nations, who have persevered here since before recorded time, and continue to be integral parts of our community. We uphold our responsibility to repair relationships, initiate partnerships, and stand with all First Nations communities.

Word of the Day: Docile, adjective- used to describe those who are easily taught, led, or managed
