Day 2

Good morning, East High School... Be respectful, be dependable, be prepared, and remember, it is a great day to be a Red Devil. These are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Students- just a reminder that construction will be going on through the end of the school year. There have been loud noises from this, and we want to make sure everyone knows what it is coming from. There may also be different areas of the building that are closed at different times- for instance, yesterday the tunnel to the gym was closed. Thank you for being understanding and flexible with the construction for the new addition to East!

Auditions for the school play Radium Girls will be held Feb 7th and 8th after school.  Check the Radium Girls Google Classroom for information about audition monologues or the show schedule, or just ask Mr. Willems in room 322 if you have any questions!

Dinner and ACT Prep for Juniors- To help prepare for the ACT in March, Juniors are invited to participate in practice sessions in the cafeteria after the dinner program on February 6 and February 20. Sessions will run from 3:15-4:00pm and are optional. If you have any questions about this, contact Mrs. Bleier.

East Students: NEW Debate Team meeting day and time! Are you passionate about arguing? Do you love to prove that you are right? Do you want to put another club on your college application? Then join the East High School Debate Team! We need students like you who are invested in their future. Anybody from every skill level is welcome! If you’re interested, please join us for a meeting every Friday after school! The meeting will be held in Room 314.

Calling all content creators, Instagramers, writers, editors, and photographers! Media Club needs you! We are looking for motivated, energetic students who want to tell the stories of East High in fun and engaging ways. There will be a short informational meeting today after school in room 306. Students in this club will maintain our news website, social media sites, and podcasts. Again, today after school in room 306. Or you can email Mrs. Van Ess ([email protected]) at any time.

ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) Testing- ASVAB is a multiple-aptitude battery (test) that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. You can now sign up in the Career Center with Ms. Kong to take the ASVAB. This does not commit you to anything, but it can help you figure out your career interests and plans for after graduation. The test helps explore career interests in general. The test will be Thursday, February 8th from 7:30-11:30 AM. The last day to sign up is Tuesday, February 6. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Kong!

Attention interested Softball players- There is a parent/player meeting tonight at 6:00pm. The meeting will be held at West High School, and attendance is highly encouraged. See you there!

Attention students: Our winter dance, Snoball, is Saturday February 10. If you want to bring a guest from a different school, you will need to pick up a guest form in the attendance office. You will need to have your guest fill it out and return it back to the attendance office to be completed.

The next meeting of your Green Bay East FFA is Tuesday, February sixth @ three fifteen in the Agriscience Room one fifty three. Mark-cart is whipping out the flat-top grill & making breakfast sandwiches. Planning National FFA Week is on dock to discuss. All are welcome!
