Day 1

Good morning, East High School... Be respectful, be dependable, be prepared, and remember, it is a great day to be a Red Devil. These are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Dinner and ACT Prep for Juniors- To help prepare for the ACT in March, Juniors are invited to participate in a practice session in the cafeteria after the dinner program on February 20 and 22. The session will run from 3:15-4:00pm and is optional. If you have any questions about this, contact Mrs. Bleier.

Study-A-Thon: To help you prepare for final exams, Link Crew and NHS will once again sponsor a study-a-thon next week Monday, February 26 and Tuesday, February 27 from 3pm to 5pm in room 309. Snacks will be provided!

Hey! It’s National FFA Week! In celebration, trivia questions on the FFA organization will be announced. Answers to the trivia questions can be dropped off at the main office or library. One daily winner will be selected to win either a free drink of their choice or two free cookies from our school store! Here’s today’s question:

What are the National FFA colors?

A) National Blue & Corn Gold

B) Yellow & Blue

C) Turquoise & Magenta

D) All the colors of the rainbow

Again: trivia, office & library, chance of a lifetime!

Also FFA-related: as a way to say, “Thank You!” for supporting the East FFA chapter, the Green Bay East FFA Alumni & Supporters would like to invite staff & this year’s agriscience students to a pancake breakfast tomorrow, Tuesday, February 20, from 6:45 - 7:30 am. Hosted in the Agriscience room (153), community Alumni members will be serving pancakes, coffee, orange juice, & possibly more. Again: pancakes for staff & Agriscience students, tomorrow morning!

Word of the Day: Enervate, verb- a formal word used for situations in which someone or something is being sapped of physical or mental vigor, vitality, or strength.

These have been your morning announcements.

Have a patriotic Presidents’ Day and a great learning day!
